Do you live now in the same place you grew up in?

Hi, It seems like there is a lot more location changes in where people live when they grow up. Either due to job or school. I was in the military and eventually moved back to near where I was stationed. I love this area. I grew up in Michigan but now live in Virginia. What about you?

I grew up in Indiana, and now live in Oregon. I have lived in Hawaii as well, but only for a short time. I do miss Indiana though, but not in the winter. It just gets way to cold and to much snow for my liking.

@taramarie39 Well, wehre I live, it isn't to bad in the winter, however we do get snow from time to time, but not like most people get. Our summer this year, has been very hot, with temperatures over 100 a few days. We are cool right now, but over the weekend, we are going to be in the 90"s. We have had a lot of 90 degree weather this summer, way above normal. I will be glad when it cools down, as the heat has been very hard on me as my ac went out, and all I have is fans.

I grew up in Europe, lived in Connecticut and Tennessee for a while. Now I live in Oregon also! We are having the worst heat wave at the moment. Hope the rains come soon. Fall, winter, spring is usually very rainy and overcast. Hello to you, fellow Oregonian!

No. I used to live in TN until my mom and ex-step father moved me and my brother to FL. I stayed in FL when I got engaged and his family lives here so we stayed. I have considered moving again, but for now it's fine here.

No, that I don't. I don't even live in the same state. I moved around a lot, and not due to the military either. Just did. I still have family in my hometown, but for the most part we all scattered to other places.

Sounds a lot like my family. Scattered all over the US. It kind of makes it hard for everyone to get to family reunions.

@taramarie39 I love this place more than I have ever loved any other place. Maybe because I have a nice home in a nice locality.

I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that I still live in the same house as I grew up in. We're hoping to move soon, but we're struggling to find the right house to move to.

@taramarie39 I'm not sure. I think change is good, and moving forces one to get rid of junk. We've accumulated far too much stuff over the years and moving will be really tough now.

I live about two miles from where I grew up. I would live in my childhood home if I won the lottery and could afford to pay the current owners an outrageous price to take themselves out of MY house and move away. If they go away for a very long time, I may forgive them for painting over the wood paneling. Probably not, though. Philistines!

I just graduated so I still live with my parents, and I have always lived in the same place. One day I would maybe like to live in another country, but I think I could stay happy where I am as well.

Hmmm, interesting. I grew up in Michigan and although I traveled and lived in eight states in about that many years, I'm not back in Michigan, in my home town. My sister is living in VA, that's what I think is interesting, although she traveled a bit, but not as much as I did.

I was born and raised in Memphis, TN. When I was married and my kids were young, I lived in Dallas, TX for a short time then moved back to Memphis. About 7 years ago, I moved in with my brother and he lived in Vegas so I lived there for 5 years. About a year ago, we moved back to Memphis then on to Arkansas where we currently live.
