I feel loved when you follow me - NOT

It makes me feel loved when people follow me.. But follow isn't enough..I need actions to follow the follow. It would be good to follow someone after having checked out a few discussions started by the one you follow. Actually that makes sense instead of blind flows that leads nowhere except added names to the list of following. What do you think do you feel loved by the people who follow you but don'rt care about the discussions you started?

Actions speak - and certainly it speaks a lot here. I just wish I had more time here so I could take more action! Honestly, I'm not sure who all follow me - I could look at the list but the actions should tell me who truly follow me. I only feel the love when I get to know someone.

@much2say I had a whole bunch of people follow me today, not one has even liked my posts. Actions speak louder. Darn the list; I interact with those who interact with me. I try posting comments on most new posts but all I get is a follow.. no discussion. This is a discussion site Sounds silly to me.

and some more. I don't feel loved at all. Actually I try not to pay it much mind, to be honest. I figure after a bit, I will clean out the 'following' list to see who I do interaction with. Those I don't I can remove from the list. Although, I will admit, those I follow or follow me, and don't interact with me, I tend to ignore theirs too. So I guess it makes us even.

@sofssu I'm not really sure. And don't want a headache so I won't think. Just blurts out, 'popularity contest?' However, I tend to return the favor when someone follows me, I follow back.. I figure I can sort it all out later.

@TexanTornado I am just confused why they would even want to follow some one. I would only follow someone who discussions are interesting.

As Our @TexanTornado said.."I don't feel loved either"..But i make a discussion and suggest it to all my followers..all 279 of them..if they respond to my discussion i keep track..sooner or later you will see who keeps on trucking....Following you the right way! I'm going to give it another week and then ignore them cause for the life of me I can't figure out how to get their names off my page..

I don't think it's hard to tell who is interacting with you. Their name seems to appear on basically everything you do. I just need to figure out how to get my name on @Rosekitty 's stuff. I have a great talent for both ignoring and tuning out.

You are so right. I have so many who are following me but I hardly see them here participating.

It happens that not everyone can follow us. The truth is that we don't have time to interact with everyone on a daily basis. Maybe that sometimes I will interact with some of the followings/followers after a week during which we never even noticed each other

@allknowing Lol When I logged in in the morning there were so many following me.. but not a like or comment on any discussion.. I was tickled up by the follows. Sounds illogical to me.

@Cristi_Ichim You didn't get this right, I guess. We are not talking about our followers commenting on all our posts.. we are talking about new follows who never interact. That make the follow meaningless.

I don't know if people start out by following everyone just so they can get settled into a site. It's not necessarily a good idea because later they may want to unfollow.

I have so many followers, that I don't expect them to respond to my discussions. That would be to much, but I would hope that some would. I try to choose the discussions of my folloerers first, as that is only common courtesy. I figure if I respond to their discussions, then they would want to respond to mine. It is like you scratch my back, and I will scratch yours. I will try my best to get to all of your discussions that interest me.
