Can't We Have a Single Place to Post All Our Issues at New MyLot

Hello friends and GoAskAlice
Like many others I have been reading about the issues they have been facing. Some of the ones that are fresh in my memory -
1. GardenGerty and many others have "Request Timed Out" Issue
2. I keep getting some creepy error page when I open a discussion (many a times)
3. Some are facing issues with the Messaging System
and maybe many many more.
In turn, all of them start a thread, try to get a mention of our dear @GoAskAlice and maybe the issue gets resolved.
However, as our threads/discussions do not reach out to all at MyLot, someone else with the same problem restarts a very similar discussion. Though on one end, this might be good as it will increase participation and help us make money or even build/strengthen relations, I feel, it only adds to the issues and worries of GAA.
My Suggestion - Why not @GoAskAlice create one big Daddy of All Discussions pertaining to the user issues and get this across to each and every user ? I recall, when MyLot was migrating from its Version 1 to the New Look and Feel, there were enough notifications from the admin - that got displayed to every user back then. So I am pretty sure, the same can be followed and implemented.
In my opinion, it will also save GAA his time and instead of getting the Inbox filled with requests, almost all issues could be found on a single discussion.
I had been to the profile/ discussions started by GAA but could not find any such discussion. So I came up with this idea.
What do you dear people think about this?
Have a Great Weekend
Sid.

I think that it would, indeed, be a great idea to have a separate page for Admin posts/discussions or, perhaps, a way of 'pinning' certain discussions to the top of the 'Recent' page.
The right to 'pin' a discussion or add it to the 'Official Notices' page should belong to @goaskalice (or other staff/admins) of course.
Besides discussions where one could post bugs, website errors and feature suggestions (like this one), it would be useful if we could see a list of the known bugs which are on the to-do list. I am sure that this would save @mylotbugs a good deal of valuable time in the long run!

Of course. Having a common place for things such as grievances, issues, suggestions related to MyLot will definitely make things easier for @GoAskAlice and the Team Behind the scenes.
I can also explain that doing this will help in many ways to MyLot Management and also the Lotters -
1. We may also have a rule that will bar creation of threads related to complaints and issues related to System Functionality as we would have one common place. So users can use it to find a solution to their issue or even report a new bug there.
On the earlier Mylot this might have been tedious owing to the pagination thing, but on the newer myLot, we have all discussions on one single page - making searching easier.
2. Disallowing creation of new threads on these issues for users will also mean some less usage of resources.
3. They can also put up the links to these discussions on the left panel for every user - so they dont have to search for these discussions (something very similar to "Pinning" as you mention on another response on this discussion).

I completely agree. There are obvious issues here - and it would be great to have a place for all these issues to be discussed away from the normal discussions as it would pertain to everyone here. We all need to know what's going on. This way there won't be so many discussions about these issues floating around the site as well.

I get a few minor bugs/errors too. I had a new one today : it was impossible for me to put emoticons when I commented to a 2013 discussion
. As it was intended as a joke it could have been misinterpreted without the right emoticons, because the member was known recently to be a misinterpretation prince
.
Quite all forums have a section for admin messages, and it looks like an anomaly to not have one with the new interface. I follow you completely

I realize most of us oldies are facing similar problems and there is no one single place to discuss them out. I too am having harrowing times with data that gets duplicated, triplicated and what not. Keeping GAA busy on all occasions means keeping him occupied with something else rather than allowing him time to resolve the issues.

Yeah seems like a good idea.
Or people with issues can message GoAskAlice directly instead of posting a discussion about it.

Having a central place for the issues at hand would be a good idea. It makes it easier for us to know exactly what is going on, whether our note is of significance or not. No reason to bother if the problem is small.

You are a wise one, sid. It's an excellent idea, and yes, I have noticed the numerous duplicate posts of such issues. The message one, though GAA did start one, and we were all able to post to it. I can now receive and sends messages. So perhaps one now on the error issues needs to be done.

I think it is a good idea. I had posted my issue basically to find out if it was a problem that was only mine or was throughout the site. I actually believe that my time out and your creepy error message are one in the same. I did send a copy of the whole thing to GAA in a message.

Sounds like a good idea. Then other people can search through the messages to see if their problem is listed and what the outcome was etc.

It's brilliant idea @thesids. I encountered "Request time out" issue too few days ago. I thought it was me. It would be easier for Myot time to identify current issue of the user with this method I guess
