I'm sure you all have heard those words in a song before, but really...What Does that mean to rearrange someone?
I rather enjoy the way i am right now..older and wiser..with lots of sass and I don't think i want my Body parts to be anywhere else except where they are right now..well maybe a lot perkier!!

I changed myself years ago. I had a boyfriend who treated me like dirt - after that I decided no more and no one walks over me or tries to change me.

OK, Strike Toy or Yeti Stork or Risky Tote or whoever you are, I'm in favour of girls who have their various bits in the accepted places otherwise the textbook descriptions of methods of approach don't work.
Of course, if your legs are where your ears should be and vice versa, it doesn't matter so much ... so long as you make good and plentiful brownies.

@Rosekitty I remember those 'uplift' bras from the '60s. They were so unreal as to be scary (mind you, I had little idea what 'real' was in those days but I knew it wasn't something like Tyvek!)

I don't know why some people try to change someone else, there had to be something you really liked about that person when you both originally met. Accept everyone for the way they are. Most important you have to be true to yourself.

Rearrange specially in such a case should normally mean change in attitude, behavior as per the whims or desires of the partner.
Personally, I dont believe in that. If you love anyone you must accept everything the other person has- the plus along with the minus. Unfortunately, this is a difficult thing for many - owing to egos and preferences.
If you are with people who need you to change (like the situation I am in) life is surely going to get more messy as that would mean you would have to change the Basic YOU which maybe good for a day or two but almost impossible to maintain in the long run.

@thesids..you are right..no one should change you if they love you.
I hope you don't change for anyone cause i like you the way you are!!

I have no answer to the question, my mind is on stand still right now.
But to your statement... I kinda like the way you are. And as long as you are happy with the way you are, that is all that matters. Hands you a push up bra... and you as good as new. (oppsss did I rearrange ya?)

It is another way to say change. It has the same meaning.
I have never expected anyone to change going in to a relationship. I know what I am getting myself in to. I'm old enough to know people change when they want to, not because I want them to.

@Rosekitty Yes, many think if they change, their abuser will stop. All it does it cause the abuser to do it more. As they have been getting away with it. They want to believe them when they promise they won't do it again and bring flowers.

@rusty2rusty some people submit out of fear and then need to go through a major change when they get out..I feel so sorry they changed instead of being themself

@rusty2rusty bringing flowers or whatever doesn't change someone..all it does is bide the time till they do it again..

If it is going to make you feel and look good why not ? Some look good when they get themselves rearranged or whatever but as for some ...I am sure they would be happier to get their old look back after they see themselves in the mirror after the rearrangement !!

I am who I am. And that's it. I don't want anyone to change me. I was changed once by the evil ex. Into something I am not. And I had to change back again after the divorce. Now I am struggling with my weight again and that is the one thing I need to change.

Obviously, it's talking about people who don't like or love you just the way you are. A true friend though will tell you the truth, especially if you have character traits that could use some improvement. The choice to change or rearrange is up to you. But they'll still be your friend and accept you – faults, flaws and all. Nobody's perfect. We all got some quirk or quirks that can work on somebody else's last nerve! My kids say it's my “tone”.

That changing and rearranging happens a lot, especially these days. Unfortunately too many people decide to "merge" their lives without really knowing each other and find that the other person has some faults that weren't noticeable at first. I'm with you. Love me as I am, warts and all or leave. This trying to change me thing is the main reason I'm practically a hermit. I can have cyber friends because I can scroll past comments I find offending without breaking off the friendship. Can't always do that face to face.

@thebeaddoodler ..I Love your words about scrolling past comments without breaking off the friendship..very true..in real life we can't and either ignore them, hurt someone's feeling and then if you want to make a go of the friendship, someone has to break the problem..so much more to it in real life instead of knowing you may never see your cyber friend in real ..

Well I enjoy the freedom to say what I think that my age grants me. I can get by with more now than I could when I was younger. But I don't enjoy the aches and pains and the poor health that came with this age. I can truly say that looking back I am much wiser now than I used to be. I know how far to push someone now without pushing them over the edge. That's always a plus in maintaining any kind of relationship. But mostly I think the freedom to be honest with my thoughts and with myself is the greatest gift that age has given me.
