A Little About My New Book

See the sea and the sand. What's missing?

Somethings missing in this picture. Or should I say someone. Who's missing from the picture of the sea and the sand? Sabine, the main character in my new book. Sabine is a girl whose broken spirit needs the touch of coastal healing. Sabine hates the world and really hates the male half of the world. When Sabine, her mother, and her sister are moved to Buzby Island by her philandering father, Sabine must learn how to be a friend, how to trust, and how to love again, or spend she will be doomed to spend her days in a state of loneliness and despair. Edgy and emotional, this book is a must read for anyone who ever had a heartache cured by the sea.

Nice story! Liked it! In my case, heartache was cured by traveling with friends

Hmm sounds great DW, a great read indeed. I have had my heart broken by the sea, but also had my heart cured by the sea haha. So I guess I will be reading your new book. That is a lovely name Sabine too.

I hope you enjoy the book. The name Sabine came to me as a twist of a friend's wife's name, Serena. I almost used Sabrina, but wanted something more unusual.

@DWDavis There was a saint named Sabine as I recall reading somewhere.

@TiarasOceanView I did not know that. (I'm such a bad Catholic.) I'll have to look her up.

Sounds like a bestseller. And who wouldn't find emotional healing by the sea shore.

This sounds like a great story! Are you self-publishing it or shopping it to publishers?

I am self-publishing, as I did my first three books. My fourth book was published by a small house out of Utah, but they have changed to a more marketing driven focus and I will probably not be publishing with them in the future. However, if a legitimate publisher wanted to take a look at my work, I'd be thrilled.

@DWDavis I hope that happens and that the book is a success in any case.
