Photography
Some time in the week I posted a discussion on photography and was surprised at the number of other people who uploaded photos into the discussion.
So I’ve decided I would load another one of my photos, it looks great until you zoom right in and it’s just out of focus, which is a shame.
Do you ever have problems with focus?

I couldnt zoom in on here, so I couldnt see that it was out of focus Kevin.
Not having a camera except for the one on this chromebook, I am unable to take good photos.
I did take this one of the sky early dawn break off my veranda tho with it.

I do on occasion, usually when I'm using my 90mm macro lens. It's tough to get the depth of field right when I'm shooting up close with it, and I have days where my hands are shakier than I care to admit. I haven't quite accepted that I just need to use a monopod or tripod for that kind of shooting...
This is one I took yesterday. Not quite a good example of the focus issue, but it'll do. I was trying to get its whole wing in focus. Didn't have the aperture narrowed enough on this one.

Wonderful shot, I see it's a little out of focus, yes it's hard to get, What "F" setting was you on? I've gave way and use a tripod at times although I know I should use it a lot more than I do.

@kevin1877uk That one was shot at f/5 with a 1/1250 shutter speed. It's not out of focus so much as the depth of field is shallow. I haven't been shooting much in the past year or so due to health problems, so it's taking me a little bit to get back into thinking consciously about how I'm shooting.
Dropping down to f/20 made a lot of difference.

@yukimori Yeah F20 would be great, F5 is ok but very little depth of field

I have a camera that looks after me on many an occasion. It is rarely that I do a bad job of it.
I just do not know what to upload here from the thousand of pictures that I have.

I think sometimes we all have that, we see something different to what the camera does.

@kevin1877uk So true. It takes a lot to learn how to "see" the way the camera does!

Sometimes you need to manualy focus and its the most importent thing in photography yet still the hardest thing to do .
