I have 214 followers. Most of these were from the time when mylot was. A few I have reconnected with, some have changed their names a little. But most of them I have not seen active here in the new mylot. I'll bet there is a way to tell if these older followers are active now or not but I haven't figured it out yet. What I have figured out is that now we, not mylot, have to notify our friends when we have started a discussion. Now it makes no sense to suggest a discussion to someone who isn't even here so if anyone knows how to differentiate the active members from the inactive ones I would love a heads up.

So far what i have been doing is suggestion to all my followers and after a few times you get to know who answers..I'm presuming those are ones back. Some have passed on but i don't have it in me to delete them and of course you will gain newbies.
I hope this helps you hun

@savak03 someone liked one of my discussions from 2008 and i was shocked to see it..and yes some who posted have passed on so it is nice to read their response and feel like they are still here and always will be a part of myLot!!

@Rosekitty They still have that list that say "Others you might like" with a list of discussions that are old. I answered one the other day, not looking at the date. I started to go through more and noticed they were all written like 5 or 6 years go.

Apart from visiting each profile in turn to see when they last posted something, there is no way of seeing whether someone has been active recently.
At least one person whose old discussion I responded to recently has come back (because she got an email, I think) to see what it was all about.
It's well worth seeking out older posts by your friends/followers and doing something to them - responding, commenting or liking, for example - because it's fairly likely, if they have the same email address, that they will get a notification and may be inspired to come back.

I visit people and tell them they are being "summoned" to return. I very seldom suggest.

That is how I got lured back here ... Lambie and Top both showed up in my e-mail, and I just had to come back to see what was going on.![](/Content/images/emotes/surrender.gif)

I amnot sure thereis a way to know who is active and who isn't. I also don't know which ones left two years ago, and never came back, nor do I know which ones have come back. All I know I have quite a few followers, and that is good, as the more followers or users, the more interaction there will be on discussions. I guess I am having way to much fun, to even think about it.![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)

I am not really sure what advantage the following/followers feature gives us, but I have managed to find people and discussions on here just by looking around a bit. I think as time goes by it will get easier and more intuitive, but for now I am just here to have fun and interact.![](/Content/images/emotes/thumbup.gif)

Yeah me too. I really enjoyed interacting with people from all over the world when I was on mylot before. I was really bummed when they changed it as much as they did and it got so crazy. The money issue would not have stopped me from popping in because I never made that much anyway but I sure enjoyed the friendships I made here. ![](/Content/images/emotes/lol.gif)

I thought it was myLot to notify the followers of the member who starts a discussion. I have never used the notify function yet but I think I have to use that so that certain specific topics can reach the intended members or else they may not notice - I think there are hundreds of new discussions everyday - it is unrealistic to hope your discussion can be seen by all.

That's what I mean. Sometimes I write discussions that I really want advice on and there are a few of my old friends that I know are here but they never seem to see my discussions. Since I figured out I was the one that had to notify my followers I have been getting a lot more notice.![](/Content/images/emotes/blush.gif)

I just go into each name to see if they have started a discussion. That is the only way I know to figure it out. ![](/Content/images/emotes/happy.gif)
