Bad memory has been such a constant concern of mine over the years. I noticed that I forget a lot not just my current life but the most important events in my life. There are past events that I can thankfully still remember. There are flashes of memories come back to me once in a while but almost everything for me from childhood til memories in college is a near complete blur. I forgot the faces of my classmates, professors, i could not tell precisely where i was or what i am doing. Even in facebook it's hard for me to search their names. Even in conversation I usually forget things or forget what I wanted to say so I have to pause think...before I remember
I've begun writing everything down on a diary and those memory flashes on me all of those get recorded as well.
I started also to take supplements for memory loss and hope that it works for me.
Are you having a memory loss also?

Personally, I have never had this problem of forgetting memories, but I imagine that keeping a journal of those flashbacks is a great tool to use. Maybe you could also write about some good memories you have in case you ever forget those as well. I've also heard that talking to a therapist or doctor could help discover why you're either blacking out these memories or forgetting them completely. Good luck with your supplements!

I would suggest approaching a therapist as well.

I too , can't remember the names of some people from the past . But after a while , they would sudden;t pop up in my mind. Since i took fish oil supplement i noticed my mind has become sharp again .

I've never had memory when it comes to details so writing things down or having access to details helps. They say lots of people now don't remember phone numbers because it is all inside their cell phone so they don't bother to remember the numbers.

I am a very forgetful person. My husband always jokingly says, he doesn't need to bring me anywhere, as I will not remember. Sometimes, I totally have no memory on the place I have visited before. I try to write down as much as I can. I think if we really want to remember, we can still slowly practice and bring back our memories. Sometimes, I think we tend to be lazy to remember and hence we forget.

I am quite the same, although it is not that severe. For me, i don't remember a lot of the things (memories) that happened until high school, but i do remember who my friends were, even though we don't keep in contact anymore...
It is good that you take supplements, i really hope that it works for you.

I'm your console when it comes to that, some important events have forgotten but when I able to see a one picture of it,Suddenly all the memories is flashing back.Like I remember her/him but not his name,I remember his/her name but not the look.
There were times I'm about to get something then went to the particular area of the house then pause, asking myself, what am I going to get? seconds ago,I remembered, feeling silly after.
