Your Strengths and Weaknesses

Over the weekend, I had a chance to participate in and facilitate a training for a noble project sponsored by some private and public agencies. Prior to the training, I reflected on my strengths and weaknesses, remembering the feedback we got from the participants from our previous engagements. I got to think about my skills, those that I'm good at, and also those I need to improve according to their impressions. There is much to work on still. I might be effective in what I do but I have to admit, there is much to work on as regards being accepting and welcoming as a person. How about you, do you know your strengths and weaknesses?

I have given it a lot of thought lately. Of course it is always a good course of action to make regular habits of self examination. I don't know a lot of people who do that. Anyway, when I was younger I was able to do quite a lot. I have worked in a variety of fields with very little training. One strength I have is that I am a fast learner. I could tell you I knew how to do something that I had never seen done before and after looking the job over for a few minutes I could do it and convince you that I had experience. That may not always be the best way to get a job, but it worked for me on several occasions. Another strength I had was even if I felt overwhelmed at the job at hand I always managed to accomplish it if it was thrust upon me. I remember one time my husband said I should learn to fix refrigeration and I told him no. I said if I learned how to do one more thing someone would expect me to do it. I never did learn that one. Of course now that I am older and my health is failing I find myself only good for telling stories and advising others. I guess that is the cycle of life.

Being a fast learner is an advantage. Thanks for sharing. I could tell from how you wrote that you are full of wisdom. Keep sharing those stories.

There is nothing much I do towards looking at my strengths and weaknesses as I have no plans to change. People should accept me with all my moles.

Yup. I have a good idea of my strengths and weaknesses. I work on improving my weaknesses whenever I can. Ah there are so much to do on this earth but so little time.

I think I do. I am pretty in tune with myself, my motivations, my assets and the things that hold me back. Hasn't helped me improve anything, though.

You know yourself. I think that in itself is an achievement.
