Now days almost all of us using the digital camera or mobile phone to take photo. When got event or party i will use my camera to take picture and some video. I keep all the picture and video inside my old computer hard disk. Some how, it already too many video and picture from the last and last year. My hard disk space are getting smaller.
I want to just delete it but i feel like loss. It was like a pass memory from the last last year. It is just inside computer and i not always refer or open the file. Do you have any idea or opinion, what should i do ? Do you have other method to keep old image and video ? Some refer me to upload in dropbox but i feel it not safe.

I think what Bhaby said is the best option really.
I do not have enough at all to do so.
I hope that works for you etavasi.

I also like to keep as many photos and videos as possible for the sake of memory. I also feel sad when it is time to slim down because of the hard disk space problem. But I will upload to some photo sharing sites like Photobucket to store before I delete them. Maybe you can consider the online storage option to ease the pain of loss.

Yes, I do see people sharing picture in Photobucket. Does Photobucket got privacy setting, which is like only me can view or can access? Online storage is good but cannot use when offline :P but can access from everywhere right when ever we got internet.

@etavasi I have had my free account there since 2008 with no issues. If you read the posts closely, it is those "not suitable" pictures that were deleted by the site which it has stated clearly in their rules. Anyway, there are many other online storage sites to choose from, apart from Photobucket.
What a surprise! I am also from North Borneo I stay in Kota Kinabalu. You?

I think an external hard drive is really the best option. They're a lot cheaper now than they were a few years ago and you can fit thousands of photos onto one. A lot of my photos are on external hard drives because I ran out of space on my computer a long time ago and I hate deleting them.

@etavasi With technology it's always possible that something will go wrong, but I've never had a problem with mine. I'm sorry that I can't recommend a brand but I'm not sure that we have the same ones in South Africa as you do in Malaysia. Anyway, they're probably all decent and I usually buy the one that's available at the best price.

I tend to place my photos on CD's. That way i can access them at a later date if need be.

I only save and edit things that are important to me. I delete others from time to time.

Nowadays we have enough space to store and so normally I do not delete any pictures.

Maybe you could delete some photos like just save 10-20 photos per event. In my case, I delete the photos that I already uploaded in FB. I also use e-mail to store other photos. However, external hard drive or memory card are the best options for personal copies.
