STOP BARKING! / myLot

I recently adopted a little chihuahua (rescued) named Baby. SHE BARKS AT ME any time I have FOOD. Right now she is barking because I had a bagel over here.... any of you with dogs have any weird behavior from your dogs? I have TWO dogs, my other dog does not do this! I don't have the extra time to try to 'train' this out of her, I just want her to stop! Suggestions? Advice?

I don't have any suggestion, but I always think chihuahua likes to bark. Perhaps just keep saying NO, and she'll understand later. I had a Labrador, she only barked to us when it's time for her meal.

she doesn't only bark, she gets in my face lol! Since she's a rescue - I actually found her - in the middle of the street about 2 blocks from my house, I think she probably did the same thing to her previous owners. Unfortunately, I think her previous owners dumped her, she had no chip, no collar, no tags, and she acted as if she'd never been loose before, ever. She wouldn't even get out of the street which is why I have her in the first place.

The only thing I know to do is keep saying no. I have had only one dog and he did not do that.

My other dog doesn't do it.... my other dog is actually the good one. He doesn't hang in my face when i'm eating, and he doesn't beg too often. He also goes outside to do all his business, I am still dealing with accidents from Baby.

Why not give your chihuahua her food during these times? Unless she's like my chihuahua. Then it is completely hopeless! lol When it comes to people food, she'd much rather have that any day then her own!
