Is it easy to solve a Rubik's cube?

The answer is yes, it is easy. If you are willing to learn the mechanics and the steps that are necessary to solve the cube you can actually solve it without cheating. I was just wondering if there is anyone here that knows how to solve it.

When the Rubik's cube first came out I used to know how to solve it, but I've forgotten how to do it now. Maybe one day I'll try again.

How did you solve it? Did anyone teach you how to do it or you did it on your own?

@Cristi_Ichim Sometimes I managed to do it on my own, but I eventually found a book which gave instructions. After that I got bored with it, which is why I no longer remember how it's done. I must see if I've still got that book somewhere.

@Gina145 You're pretty awesome if you could do it on your own without anyone showing you the ropes. But how long did it take you to do it on your own?

I have never tried because I don't like to be frustrated but my son's friend can solve it no problem. He actually collects Rubik's Cubes. I don't know why anyone would need a collection of them.

It is easier than you think... if someone shows you how it is done and teaches you the exact method/steps

If you try to do it on your own without anyone ever showing you how to do it, then it is very hard, almost impossible. But if someone teaches you how it is done then things become much easier

I was never good in solving the Rubik's cube, my husband always succeeds in a matter of minutes. He has a mathematical mind.

@Unforgettable_Raja YouTube is a great place where to find solutions.

@Unforgettable_Raja I have found that videos are many times more easy to follow. I like to search solutions on YouTube.

I used to love playing it and could solve it in a couple of minutes but I haven't played it for too long now, I've completely forgotten how to do it.

It's hard for me. I never succeed in completing one even though I looked up how to do it. I guess I'm just not good at solving puzzles.

My son does it, not me. I tried for months and gave up on it many years ago.

In childhood I must have tried once or twice but thereafter never because I did not succeed in solving it.

When I was learning to solve, it was very hard, then gradually the hardness started becoming easy, then easier and easiest..!! if you follow the algorithm, then you are the winner. Just think, if you want to go to office from your home, 1. step out from your home 2. drive to the office 3. reach office parking lot, 4. get down from the car 5. walk to the office building. The fundamental note is you won’t be able to do No. 4 or No.5 before No.3.!!! Follow the steps, for sure you could solve.
