Hi everyone ,
At the age of 25, I have two kids already and as of this time my hubby and I decided to have a family planning ,use a birth control since our two kids are still very young to follow up for another one.
It's been a week today since I got one,We planned to use an IUD or Intrauterine Device for it has a low percent rate of pregnancy and can be used for up to five years but when we consulted at the center; the midwife said If I have it now;I maybe complain after a few months because of getting hurt during sexual intercourse,is that true?
She suggested me to use a DEPO-Provera which is an injection shot that prevents our hormone for getting pregnant within three months, since she suggested I chose to have it.
Other friends of mine whom have used it said if I continuously used Depo,my skin complexion will be much more affected like having a dry and dark skin since Irregular menstrual periods may happen, I don't know if this is true ,I don't see any changes yet up to this moment.
They also said Headaches,Nervousness,Dizziness,Changes in appetite may also occur.I'm hoping this will not happen to me so how about you all out there?Have you tried Depo as birth Control? which is good to use the depo or the IUD?

I only use birth control during initial months after maternity. Since that I don't consume it anymore. The main reason is I'm afraid with the risks. I heard some birth control ( pill and injection ) can trigger cancer cell developing. UID is safe as long as you follow the procedure but you must remember when to replace it because it could harm your womb if you forget the period -I read from a health articles.

Hi, @redvakaurvaki Actually, this is my first time to used a birth control so I do not have any idea that this could trigger hazardous disease, thank's for the info.Yes,You have a point that IUD is more safer than the other, this is what others always say to me so maybe I will go for it after my due date in Depo however,I also don't know it may could affect our womb,I will try to have a research on this.

@cgalavia IUD is safe as long as you notice the period of time. If this should replace after two years or five years, you should write it in your deepest memory so you don't forget it . IUD damages your womb if you miss the period of time.
MOW/MOP is better than pill or injection, but I don't really know about it

hello @bhabycatch013 congratulations to you for having your first baby and I think we have something in common for I also don't like taking pills,I also tend to forget so it does not work effectively.I'm also thinking now in changing my Depo to IUD.Hoping it will do good to me.
