I have written two children's books. They are titled Mike and the Deaf Student and Crayons - Color My World. It was a lifelong dream of mine to write children's books and now I am living the dream. :) Mike is the first in a series about bullying and Crayons is about racial diversity.

If you ever do, let me know. I can give you some advice and point you in the direction of a publisher. :)

@fufurinha My books are picture books and even they were hard to write. But if you have a story inside of you, let it be told!

Do you have your stories published anywhere (online or in book form)?
I have completed a few short stories, and use the site SmashWords to publish them online, but I haven't had much luck selling any on there :/
I've started many longer stories, but I always seem to lose steam and find it hard to stay motivated. And if I hit a writers block...ugh, it might as well be quicksand to no where! I think that's why I'm more successful with short stories...I can see exactly where they're going, and I don't run into blocks with them.

I have. Well I've started. I've gotten between two and around twenty chapters in. Their not any good though. One I wrote with Nanowrimo. A challenge in the month of November where you try to write 50,000 words in a month. I didn't complete the 50,000 words but I got close. I tried to do the challenge again two years later but I quit early on. It was so exhausting trying to wrote that much along with school and homework. I was super tired and lacked motivation because of this.
Congratulations on your books. It's wonderful that you're living your dream because so many people don't have the chance to do that or are not motivated enough to make their dreams turn into their reality.

No, I don't have what it takes to write one. The closest I've been with any book production was when my son let me get involved a bit with his college project. It was just a coffee table book with more pictures than writing; but it was fun and exciting to learn the whole process from start to end.
