not ignore no,,but i think people are afraid of comebacks these days,,every one is so concerned with their own lives that what all others do is none of our business,,if you stop a fight in a street you may get hit or even arrested,if you report someone for hitting their child,,they may do something back to you,,if you chastize children, the parents defend them,,saying you know those next door are beating another person living there may make you feel better but what if they give you a smack? what if your windows get put out? what if they just start being terrible neighbours? the things that go on behind closed doors nowadays are no one elses business but theirs and its their problem,,isnt it???????we should do something but i think for the majority,we feel they will get help from somewhere....just not us.terrible really

I think its pretty sad that people tend to ignore it out of fear ...Fear of what ? To interfere with other people's life, to be the bad person, of repercussion (sp?)
If everyone in this world would act on domestic violence and report it when we see it I do believe the world would be a better place
