Today, is "National Dog Day". So, I wanted to share a photo of my dogs. It is hard to get both in the picture at the same time. Unless they are sleeping. As they both move so quickly. The oldest one is a Chug (chihuahua/pug mix). His name is Moose. The smaller one is a Chihuahua mix named Rascal. i have no clue what he is mixed with.
Both my dogs are people friendly. They have a big back yard to run and play in. They love to get treats. Which they both have to do something to earn them. Rascal recently learned how to sit. Moose is learning to shake.
Do you have any dogs? if so, what breed, age, sex, a name (etc.)?

Yes, we have a beagle. She is 3 years old. Her name is Princess. She is an amazing dog. Here she is with our cat Samuel. They get along great.

That is great your dog gets along with cats. My Chug does not like cats. I am sure it because of the neighbors cat who taunts him at the chain link fence.

@rusty2rusty yeah that would probably do it. I'm sorry that happens to your dog.

Well you see my dogs every time you see my profile picture. Ciara and Penny are beagle/border collie sisters (literally sisters, I say this because people say their dogs are siblings, but they mean it in an adopted way, not biological) and their personality is as different as their looks.
Yes, they look similar, but in the winter when Ciara's coat is grown out, her long border collie coat is much different from Penny's beagle coat.
Ciara is laid back, while Penny is hyper and I hate to say it, (because I did pick out Penny) but Ciara is smarter than Penny. I am training them and the last thing I trained them to do is to twirl. Penny will ONLY do it if I have a treat and I make her follow my hand, like I did in the beginning to show what I want, except she is still doing that. While Ciara, she will now twirl with just a flick on my hand and one day I should get a video of how smart she is.

I would love to see a video of your dogs. My dogs are not related. My Chug is much smarter than my Chihuahua mix. However he is also 2 years old in age. He can do alot of tricks. I am working with the Chihuahua mix more. As he does try to do what my Chug does. Right now I am working on basics. I can get him to sit and stay. Working on down and lay. As one word commands seem to work best.

@rusty2rusty I forgot to mention that on November 22 they will turn 6 years old. And I will try to remember to suggest the post if I get a video, but it will probably be Ciara since Penny only sits and lays down, I can't get her to twirl or jump.

@rusty2rusty Ally was only 8 weeks when I adopted her and it was amazingly easy to house train her, as for males that's a whole nother thingy ...... most of the time I've taken in street pups, at least I saved them from bein run over.

I always wanted a dog. When I was little my father bought me one. I named her Linda. But we had to gave her to my uncle. She had puppies. And I still visit them sometimes.

Maybe one day you can get another one. I know dogs are alot of work and require alot of an owners time.
