I just read a post by @Rollo1 and I thought I'd write one of my own. I want to share with you guys an experience my husband and I had at TGIFridays.
It's been a while ago now, but it's an experience I will never forget. Friday's was having a special dessert so we decided to go there for dinner. Now, my husband and I don't drink. We were having sodas. But we got the worst service ever. Our waitress took forever to bring us our appetizers and food and never came back to ask us if we needed anything. We finally flagged her down and when she did come back she was short with us, although we were very polite.
I had ordered one of the special desserts, but they were out of it by the time we got our dessert. I get things like that happen. But the icing on the cake was when she threw our check holder on our table as she was rushing by. That was uncalled for.
We saw her giving a lot more attention to the tables which were drinking a lot more attention. Now we realize that two people don't require much attention, but we should have better service than being ignored and having our check thrown at us.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

It is. Poor Service. That simple. We were asked not if everything is fine at our table but "How is the food?" Okay, not the standard question but I couldn't believe it when I was asked if I pay my bills. I don't leave tips on my credit card bill but in cash only if I want to. And so added up the bill myself with two zero's instead of the 20 cents that was showing. It was an honest mistake but really? Talk about a rude comment to bring attention to my mistake.

sounds like you got a raw deal. I would have complained let alone not left a tip. Hope future nights out go better for you
