Because I Make Lame Discussions, That's Why

I don't know why. I have a couple blogs and one is on just whatever and I am hilarious! I say that without conceit. However, when it comes to starting a fun and totally awesome discussion here, I fall severely short. @Rosekitty tried helping me out. Her idea~ totally fun~ was to make a discussion about what discussion would make her jealous. What is your idea for a topic that would make her jealous? I am thinking about the best brownies ever made. I make some really great brownies. Maybe the best ever. What do you think would make @Rosekitty jealous?

I really do not understand jealousy, but brownies might be a place to start. How about something "better than brownies" though I do not know what, cause there is almost nothing better than brownies.

Those look like really good, gold-leaf-covered brownies! I think @rosekitty might be jealous if you gave out brownies to everyone and they stopped asking for hers.

@Rosekitty is already a celebrity and celebrities do not get affected by jealousy displayed by mere mortals like you and me

@SIMPLYD..when i was younger i would get jealous if i saw my mate look at other girls if i wasn't getting attention and then i grew up and realized it wasn't me who had the problem it was him..so i left and now don't think it is worth being jealous over anything..wow i can be serious!!

You are sweet, Roz. But, I know better. If I had interesting discussions more often, I would have more people answer me. But, that's OK. I will get the hang of it.

Why do you want to make her jealous? Your brownies look great, they can make her jealous.

I think that would probably do it. I don't think it has anything to do with when you are online. With members all over the world there are a lot of people online at any time of the day. I am trying to widen out my followers list and schooling myself to make use of the suggestion button to let my followers know when I have posted something. I am currently running an experiment to see if I get more responses by suggesting or not suggesting. So far I think suggesting is going to be the way we have to do it if we want our friends to notice we are active. But back to the timezone thing. I am usually on mylot late at night in the eastern time zone. It doesn't make any difference if you posted this this morning because I found it and am responding. When you see I have you will come back and say something which will entice me to follow up. With your blog you are not worrying about what someone else says, you are just putting your thoughts out there. Don't worry so much about it here either. Your discussions have always been well written and interesting. People will come as they start noticing your activity.

@Gwensmom Just stick with it. When I first started on mylot eons ago I was doing good to get one response I soon picked up on the atmosphere here though and one day just jumped into the middle of what looked like a fun discussion between several people. I was a little worried they would think me pushy but they welcomed me with open arms and I have been at it ever since, (except for those few years when things went dark on the lot).

Thank you. I did send out more suggestions for this one then the other ones I have written. I do need to start widening my list too. Very true about my blog. I just write whatever I want and whole comments ate nice, I don't worry too much about getting them. I should look at this the same way.

Oh brownies sound so good right now! If you add nuts and frosting they would be even better in my opinion!
