Would You Take Your 3 Month Camping?

August 27, 2015 7:13pm CST
Every year my family and I go camping for labor day and memorial day weekend. Next weekend we are going to leave. My husband is going for sure. I am still debating if I should go because I have a young 3 month old. I just think it is going to be hard with her. We rustic camp where there aren't bathrooms and the trails are really hard to get back into. It would be fun to get out and it's great to start them young, but it may end up being a lot of work

My personally honestly, I surely would not think of it due to bug bites and other conditions that may be too much for the baby.

Yeah, that is true. I think I'm more worried about how cold it gets at night. It has been getting down into the 40's here lately.

@dashboardc33 Oh yeah the cold might also be too much for the little baby.

I personally do not recommend young children to go camping, though I understand it's good to start young. The strange environment might make the baby feel uncomfortable. The baby might not get to enjoy, and you too. But, of course, you are the one who make the decision, you will decide what's the best for you and your baby.

No, but then again I don't have a 3 month old. My babies are 15 and 18 years old! Seriously though, I wouldn't do it. Although I'm not one to camp, I couldn't imagine taking a 3 month old on an adventure like that...not unless it was in a fully decked out RV, that is! lol

No, I wouldn't be comfortable taking along the 3 month old. And even if the baby was fine and was no trouble, didn't get mosquito bites or whatever, how could you enjoy yourself if you're taking care of a baby? I think next year might be soon enough to start her out.

In my opinion , the baby should not be carried along . We have to consider the new environment , that there could be wild animals.

I'm not sure if a 3 month old is quite ready yet. Especially if it is hot and humid where you are or even if it is cold. I would also be worried about mosquito bites.
