Whenever I hear Hallelujah as sung by Jeff Buckley, I can't help but feel sad. There's just something about the guy and his voice that made that song even sadder than ever.
And then there's Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton. Man. If you know the background of that song, then you'll probably know why this can make the hardest man cry.
So, can my fellow myLotters suggest the saddest songs they know? Thanks in advance! :)

It would be Love Story by Andy Williams. Whenever I hear this song, it would bring back my childhood memories... this was one of the songs I listened to back then. I think it's the melody that makes my heart melt. I like Tears In Heaven, this song was a big hit when I broke up with my first boyfriend, lol! I was aware that there's a sad story behind that song but I cannot remember the details.

Not exactly a sad song, but it means a lot to me simply because of LOTR.
I'm talking about Fix You by Coldplay. This song always reminds me of that time when Sam carries Frodo up Mount Doom. I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you
The tears involuntarily start rolling down my face.

I always connect songs to certain events and happenings in my life. There are songs that make me happy and yet there are those that make me cry.
