Hello Everyone,
It's a hot afternoon here in my place.
This afternoon Mama prepared something,It's champorado,we have it sometimes if not we have pancakes. Champorado is a sweet chocolate rice porridge,if you wanna know the ingredients here it is:
1 cup glutinous rice, washed, soaked for at least 30 minutes; drained
2-1/2 cups water
1 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup of any condensed milk
For Cooking Procedure
1.Place glutinous rice and water in a saucepan; bring to a boil, should be in a medium flame cover and cook for about 25 minutes.
2.Add chocolate (or cocoa powder) and sugar; stir and mix well. If it gets too thick, add a little of milk.
3.Ladle champorado (chocolate rice porridge) into bowls. Serve hot.
That's it,it's very easy and delicious. This is very common among Filipinos. What's your Snack?

I was never fond of rice pudding as a child. My mother made it by putting 'pudding rice' (probably something like your glutinous rice) with milk, sugar and nutmeg in the oven until it was done and had a brown skin on top. Some people think the skin is the best part but I hated it!
What I did love, though, was chocolate semolina. This was made in a saucepan on the stove top and used milk, semolina (a coarsely ground wheat), sugar and cocoa powder. I haven't had it for a long time!

@owlwings Oh I love it since I was a child. My mother used to have every morning as our breakfast but this time we have it as our snack.I think the cocoa powder made it to make it the best.I never tried that chocolate semolina, they are almost the same as the ingredients so I'm quite sure,it's also a delicious one.
You must have miss it,if you know how to cook it then maybe you could try to have it this time.
