A War on the Police

Another police officer was murdered last night, this time while gassing up his police car in Texas. Even after he was shot and on the ground, his assailant continued to fire on him. Right now, the suspect is at large. There was a surveillance photo of the assailant and his red pickup truck, which is now being circulated nationwide.
We now live in a society where a police officer can't even stop at a gas station safely. Their uniform is a giant target on their backs! Here in Saint Louis, officers have been told not to wear their uniforms as they drive to or from work, but the change at the station. These are the men and women who serve and protect us, and they are being hunted like deer.

I am not very surprised because couple of days ago in India, where i live, a mother killed her own daughter. What has shocked more is that she was married four times before and with every marriage, she introduced her past children as her sisters and brother. So pathetic to know that people are unsafe everywhere and they have forgotten even the humanity.

Such mothers shame motherhood. This is not the first time but in many cases mothers kill their daughter in the name of honour killing. Thus, the fact is we cannot believe anyone on the basis of relationship.

As a Black, American citizen and a possible target for a potential, killer cop, I'm not shedding one piece of tear when a cop gets killed. To me the police are domestic terrorist and I need to avoid them if I want to stay alive. Sorry about the good ones that aren't killing unarmed citizens getting killed, but the rotten apples in the basket ruined all the apples in the basket.

I think that it is disgusting for these people to go around killing police officers. Just because there are a few rotten cops out there, does not mean they are all bad. It's like the wild west. I understand the frustration on both sides. But maybe the cops should not wear their uniforms at all anymore. Or get the military involved to patrol the streets.

It's sad seeing this in your country were cops and people didn't get along, most specially instances were they shoot people for wrong reasons. I have watch a news were cops had killed dogs trying to defend themselves from their attacks or barking, making pet owners totally furious. How the hell did this start in the first place?

Heard it on the news. No excuse for any of these events. It's not fixing anything! When has brutality and violence ever been a cure for the ills of society? Hope they catch the killer and bring him or her to justice.

I read that the radical group "Black Lives Matter" had just said a few days ago, to kill cops and white people. All this cop killing goes back to Obama & his then Justice Department head, Eric Holder, who started all this race baiting with the Michael Brown case. They stirred the pot. Obama is the most racist president America has ever had.

I have noticed this and it is a scary thought. How will we ever feel safe ourselves? The people who protect us are targets.

I saw this on CNN and was so shocked. It does seem that they are being targeted and I hope that this can be stopped and the persons brought to justice. Sickening!

Yeah, but the sick-sick-sick people who think killing others solves anything will do so without much regard for the clothes you're wearing.
It's not any-more a "war" (between criminals & cops) than it always was.

It is terrible if the law enforcement officers are being targeted to be killed. There should have been a massive hunt for the killer and the full force of the law must be used to punish the killer when he is caught. The law officers should be respected. They have to wear their uniform with pride. Of course, the respect must be earned, that is why it is important to always uphold the good reputation of the force.

I think people just want to kill, whether it be cops or military or just regular people minding their own business...the world has gone nuts.

Yes, around the world the basis of society has undergone a drastic change. It seems nothing is impossible. Now, the police department is a soft target which is a matter of concern.
