Do you print recipes?

I have shelves of cookbooks, but I find we constantly print new recipes from FaceBook or from other sources. We usually use each recipe maybe one time.
I have recipes hand written by family members as well. I may or may not try them.
I guess that is all the more reason not to go out to eat. Too many recipes, not enough meals.

If I had a printer i would print lots and lots of them. I do print some of them by hand in a book I have. There are so many recipes that sound yummy, I want to try them out. I like going to allrecipes online and searching for recipes. Tons and tons on there. Happy cooking and happy eating....

@marlina I'm 54 years young, lol. I like to cook but don't do much cooking. I have just me, I like to look at the recipes and would like to make some of them but rarely get around to doing it. Some of the deserts look sinful but don't make them because I don't need the calories, but they sure do look yummy...

@Polly1 We probably cook more than we should. I am 62 and hubby is 70 and we both like to cook.

I have lots of recipe books as well. I still print other recipes out online sites and places that I have found through Pinterest. I keep them all in a notebook.

@Gwensmom Yes that is a good idea. Create a book for chicken, beef, pork, veggies, desserts etc. It works out easier.

I do know that this is a popular practice because I became involved in printing recipes for work colleagues prior to my retirement. Several of the women at work would often request a specific recipe that they had heard of, which I would then search due to these women not using computers at home.
It was quite an interesting challenge at times because I also tried to format the recipe to a similar style. I would lay out the recipe with an image at the top, set the imgredients in bold and use the same font, font size and colour for each recipe.
Since I had plenty of A4 card at the time, I would print on a heavy card which enabled them to keep the recipes in a loose folder for reference.
When I think back over the years, I seem to have managed to become involved in many odd and strange practices on my computer, which in turn has improved my abilities due to the volume and variety of tasks that I have undertaken.

@GardenGerty I enjoy virtually every aspect of computers with the exception of computer games. This makes it mutually beneficial for me to help people who have less comprehension of the subject.
Over the years I have repaired and upgraded computers for friends and work colleagues, created CVs, flyers, menus and web pages along with many other tasks. Sme can be interesting challenges at times.

@Asylum you have been very kind to people while gaining this experience of printing things. I put my plain paper recipes into plastic sleeves. I would like to print some family recipes on decorative card stock and make cook books for the next generation.

@marlina There are just so many great recipes out there. I should use a tablet, I guess.

I seem to go in phases of printing them for a while and then not.

And it honestly is often quicker than at a restaurant or fast food.

@GardenGerty I agree, the better the restaurant the longer the waiting time.

Yes! I got rid of some cookbooks but for some reason I'm hanging to some that I don't really look at. There are two that are my favorites, and then I have the Kraft Let's Cooking magazine which contains some good recipes which I have used and re-used. I've printed a ton off Facebook and set up a binder for them, but I've only tried a hand full of them. One I printed out this week I'm keeping on the counter to make this week while hubby is away and both girls will be home because it has rice in it and hubby doesn't like rice.

My hubby says he does not like rice but he will eat it occasionally when I fix it. He prefers the brown rice, and he also likes fried rice. I think about two thirds of the cook books I have are actually hubby's.

I only have one cookbook and hardly ever refer to it. I do print recipes off the internet, but only when I'm about to make them. I'm not much of a cook.
Funny thing is, every time I print one, and try it, and love it, I end up losing the sheet. So if I ever want to make it again I have to hunt it down again, and can never find the same one twice.
Guess I need to invest in a binder. lol

Mom has got me print 25 of these recipes from various websites including two from Facebook. I normally dont print them for my own. I cannot have the majority of them and the others, I find it difficult to get the ingredients. So what I do is I mix a couple of them. Like the one I did three weeks back. There was this chicken recipe that looked all okay (from my health perspective) but as I cannot have chicken, I used fish instead and even removed some of the ingredients from the original recipe. I keep experimenting and most of the time, I manage to have something good (if not that delicious)

I used to, but a huge percentage of the clutter I'm discarding this week has been paper. Junk mail, bills, printed recipes, letters from the kids' schools... I'm so fed up with paper that I kind of never want to see another stray piece again once I get through this mess.
What I'm doing now is either saving recipes as JPG files or PDFs and storing them on the household tablet. I pick up recipe cards at the store, but those are getting scanned and converted to images and then discarded from now on.

I have so many cookbooks. I love to collect them. I did print a lot off the internet, but not as many as I did.
Now, I just leave the page open and make the recipe the first time I make it.
If I like it, I save the recipe to write it out or print it out later.
I am running out of room so this is the best solution I have for now.

I love my cookbooks and that's where I generally turn to find a new recipe. And, I'm one that is constantly trying a new one. I rarely make the same dish twice, which drives hubby crazy!

I do not usually print recipes. I tend to return to the same sites for the same recipes though
