From Being a Non-wallet User to a Wallet Lover!

Back when I was in college I didn't use any wallets, in fact I hated the thought of using one! Even after a few years since I graduated I never understood why people would want to use long wallets to put their money and IDs in. I had a coin purse then but never used it that much.
Fast forward to a few years ago, I started a small wallet selling business. Ok it's not really a business, more of a kind of a selling hobby. I started out with designing my favorite anime on a wallet and boom I was hooked! Now I use long wallets everyday! I even enjoy using several of them now because it's so much easier to put all the things I want to put in a long wallet.
Amazing how we can change from one thinking to the next depending on our age, preference and needs. It's just awesome when a change happens.
How about you all? Ever had the same thing about wallets like I did?
I wrote about my non-wallet mindset back in 2007. You can read it here:
Well i don't really like using wallets when i'm out anywhere. I just fold my bills and put them in my pocket. I find it easier that way and i'd be less...

@celticeagle Oh I see, that's fine if you never went to college, at least you must have finished high school. Did you ever use a wallet to put anything in it when you were younger?
The point I was getting at was it doesn't matter even if I had anything to put in a wallet because I didn't even like using wallets back then.

In my case, it has been the other way round. I used to have three wallets during college days and even I was working. Today, I have none. I rarely go out and in case I ever do, I am mostly accompanied by my wife. She takes care of me and even my wallet. I dont have enough things to keep in a wallet today and so I gave it up

Your wife seems to be a very nice woman. At least you won't need to worry about carrying money and other stuff. But where do you put your IDs or cards?

@owstalaga We dont need to carry ID cards here at least when we are in the town. When we go the other state for my annual health checkups, and check in to some restaurants, they need a proof of Identity. The Driving Licence is still a valid proof and so that is all we need to carry.
As normally, I dont drive much (even into the town) I am all fine without any ID proof. and if there is a need, I keep the Driving License in the shirt's pocket or even in the pant's pocket along with the kerchief.

@else34 Wow, I wish I could do that. I wanna go out and not have to bring a bag but I can't because I have to have girly stuff in the bag.

When I was about 12y old, I began to listen a lot of classic rock, I got really into it and believed I wouldn't like anything more than that for the rest of my life, I really disliked other genres, principally pop music, it was "nasty" for me. Years has passed and today I listen a lot of things, there's just a few that I really don't like(Can't remember right now)... Like folk, indie, some eletronic, japanese music, progressive music, and even original sound tracks from games and animes.
My past me was so silly afterall..

Haha, we all get to change as we get older. Sorry I only saw this comment now! Oh my.
Anyway I used to not like marshmallows as a little kid, but then when I got to grade school, I was reintroduced to it again and found it yummy!

I used to like smaller, square-ish kind but since 4-5 years back I've started liking the longer, rectangular ones. It's less bulky and more classy, I think.

Yeah I think the longer ones can hold more too. I also had a favorite smaller squarish paper wallet but I somehow lost it. Good thing it didn't have any money, only my IDs.

@owstalaga Oh, sorry to hear that! Lucky you didn't lose any precious belongings though. I hope you've found a good replacement.

@cahaya1983 Sadly I never have... Couldn't find any good paper wallets anymore. At least I still have my long wallets.

People who hate wallets should try to use a minimalist wallet: just bind your stuff with an elastic band. You'll have everything at your hand (except the coins).
