I have such wonderful memories of shopping in the good old days where shops were situated miles away from where we lived. There was this famous cold drink house where we spent time eating our favourite 'falooda' carrying loads of shopping along.

Yes I too have such memories...I and my sister would shop all day although we bought very little , it was the experience that we looked forward to and even now when I visit her at Bangalore or she visits me herew we still manage to do inspite of our busy work schedules

I sometimes feel it is better to be middle class than lose all those small joys when one gets to a stage when such things no longer count. Most of our family belongs where these things no longer matter.

@allknowing I agree ...But no matter which class you belong to some basic interests and pleasures remain the same..One still longs for the simple pleasures of life although may not want it all the time ...

You have to shop all day and than stop at a restaurant that ia part of shopping.
