I am having a lot of trouble recently with falling asleep at a reasonable time. This causes me to be extremely exhausted during the day, and with school right around the corner, I need to get myself into a new and better sleeping habits! Does anyone have any tips for falling asleep?

Develop a new sleep routine. switch of TV or computer at least an hour before you want to go to bed. Have a bath or shower . Draw up the curtains and play some soft relaxing music.. I have some beautiful sleep music that never fails.. you may want to check them out.. https://youtu.be/XkJK1udRPgI I always fall asleep within minutes..

Try not to drink coffee or caffeinated drinks after 3 PM, do not use your computer soon before going to sleep. Avoid exercise in the evening. Try to go to sleep always at the same hour. A glass of warm milk can help.

I don't drink coffee at all, so I don't think it's having too much energy that keeps me awake. But there's a strong possibility that I'm too worried about the computer or my phone, so I will have to cut myself off at a certain time. Thank you!

Listen to instrumental or classical music while in bed. Don't do any kind of rigorous activity hours before you sleep. Drink some milk and don't think too much before you sleep. Those should help you out. Good luck!

This is always a problem with the teen after a summer of late nights and sleeping in. I always say that the best cure for late nights is early mornings. Get up earlier even if you're tired and eventually it will change around to the right times.

Yes, this summer of staying up late has definitely played a role in my bad sleeping habits. I'm scared if I wake up too early I will simply fall asleep during the day, but I will just have to keep myself busy so that doesn't happen. Thank you!

I listen to sleep sounds and that works for me. You can find the sleep sounds on YouTube. Most of those sounds are free to listen and download. So that way you can surely get sleep just by listening to those sounds. Try some white noise sounds as well.

Thank you for the tip. Some of my friends have suggested listening to actual music, but I find that too distracting. Maybe some relaxing nature sounds would be better.

Maybe try not eating anything heavy at dinner. Maybe just some tea would help you get a good night sleep or just some warm milk.
