What do you do to work your body out? I must admit that I don't do enough of it. But I understand how important it is to maintain a healthy body. So I've told myself to start somewhere, no matter how very, very small it is, like a 5-minute walk. I intend to stick with it and gradually adding more effort as I feel comfortable. The plan is to be consistent - even if it is a small form of exercising, I'd like it to be continuous and not stopping. Hopefully, a 5-minute walk will eventually be a 30-minute walk or something along that idea...

I want to exercise and take some outdoor activities, but I have no time to do it or keep it consistent.

That's the most common excuse, so I've heard... But surely anyone can spare 5 minutes here and there just to stretch out or something...

@sishy7 OK,I admit that have no time is a excuse, But only 5minutes everyday also would be very hard to insist that.

@Bonnie if you have a strong desire for exercising you will save time to do some constantly exercise.I run about 2 kilometers when I walk my dog 3 times a week and play basketball weekend. But run when walking my dog just started 2 weeks ago.

I never use the lift since we dont have too many high rise buildings it is easy to climb 3 or 4 stairs which I need to do when I go shopping or visit friends.Other than that I walk for one hour every day, now almost all days of the week whereas earlier it used to be 4 days a week.. It really helps in every way besides helping you lose weight.

That's what I intend to do - just keep my body moving regularly, a little at first but more and more eventually...

@sishy7 I have noticed that it is the first step that is difficult but once you start you get addicted to it ...In my case I have added music and a pedometer to make it more interesting and motivate me further

I love to walk. And I don't even do it for exercise....it just feels better to walk than to sit still. (For me, anyway) - others might disagree. My legs are always antsy and they like to walk around & move. Sometimes I wear a pedometer just for the heck of it and I walk like 15,000 steps daily! But that has a lot to do with how much grocery shopping I do, how many trips to the aquarium I make while doing a water change, where I park (I like to park far away from others)...so I end up walking a great distance to the store from where I parked, etc.

Actually, that's exactly the idea I have in mind - exercising without even doing it specifically for that purpose... That's why I do the long distance parking as well

I work out with weights. I enjoy going for walks in the park as well. I love watching the scenery while I exercise.

Taking walks to nice places would be so enjoyable we'd forget that we are exercising...

i do not particularly allot time for any exercise per se. Our garden keeps me on my toes that I consider to be good exercise. I also have a garden on the terrace where I need to climb up atleast twice or thrice a day.

Walking is more than a physical exercise. It can enrich our life mentally, socially and spiritually.I consider it as the most versatile activity Of all and I wouldn't want to deter myself from it.A 5 minutes walk a day will burned up at least twenty calories so I think,It's good to have it in a day especially when you have an accompanied every morning. Good luck to your exercising activity.

Yes, walking should be the least I can do without having to go to a gym or something like that...

Walking is actually my favorite exercise! I'm not a big fan of the gym so I think walking or jogging can be a great alternative.
