Google New Logo / myLot

When I have turned on my computer this morning, at my first search I have seen the Google doodle announcing the new logo. If you haven't noticed it yet, the colors appear flatter and the e is tilted up a bit. I have no idea why the company has decided to change the logo. In my opinion this new one has a childish look, I preferred the previous one.

I just looked after reading your discussion and I agree that it does look childish. I wonder what made them change it.

@kaka135 Thanks for the link. I can understand that a company undergoing financial changes has the need to change the logo. Anyway I think they could come out with something more attractive.

I noticed it earlier today when I saw a post on Facebook about the logo change. It does look a little preschool-ish but I think it's not that bad :)

I had to actually go look for it, since my default is my Swagbucks search. I think it's simpler in lines, etc, but a little less impressive for it. A little less professional. I suppose they will keep it long enough for us to get used to it, and then change it again. Maybe, changing the logo just keeps people talking about them and that's why they do it?

I do not know the reason behind the change. The colors are the same. I am sure they could have made something better.

Actually, I saw it and didn't even realize it supposed to be a new design until I read your discussion. Didn't look much different to me...

I wonder who draw the logo. They surely have plenty of graphics in their organization and they came out of this kindergarten design.

I saw it.. it looked a little different so I wondered if I was assuming something.. Then it hit me that they changed the font and colors.. a bit.. Doesn't look great to me.. if they were changing the logo they could have gone a little fancier was my first thought.
