Which country would you visit?

I can't afford to travel abroad at the moment, but I always think about the places that I want to visit one day. I went to Asia in 2012 and I really want to return to Asia in the future. I would like to visit some of the countries where I haven't been yet for instance Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, India and Nepal and I would like to return to Thailand and Cambodia. I also have a dream about visiting Africa. I have never been there, but I would like to travel around and visit a number of different countries.
This is a fantasy discussion. If you didn't have to think about money, your health, your family, your job etc which country or which countries would you visit? And why would you choose those countries?

Call me when you arrive so that we can search Mads together
I am happy to hear that you are interested in my country. Summer is the best time to visit, because our winters are really cold...

I love questions like these. There are so many places I want to travel to when I get the money to be able to. First and foremost, my number one choice to travel to country-wise would have to be Ireland. So many of my ancestors are there, Dublin is the city where my favorite book series takes place in, and it has so much sentimental value to me. It's also incredibly beautiful. I actually plan on living there for a year or two, at least.
I would also travel across the world, just visiting each country that I could. I could try sushi in Japan, real Italian food in Italy, and so many other different and interesting cuisines. Our world is so huge, and it's honestly tragic that no one takes the time to think about how many places this earth has to offer.

I think that we have a lot in common. I also want to travel across the world and visit as many countries as possible. That is one of my biggest dreams. I think that every country has something to offer, and I would like to visit all of them at least once.
I live in Europe and I have visited most of the other European countries, but Ireland is one of the few countries where I haven't been yet. It is part of my travel wish list, and I hope to visit Ireland in the future.

@RachelDSims24 That is true. In Europe it is easier for us to visit other countries.
I live in Denmark and two of our neighbour countries are Sweden and Norway. There is a bridge to Sweden, and a ferry to Norway, While I was in Sweden I sailed from Stockholm to Helsinki in Finland. I have also visited Norway.
In 2009 I visited Latvia and Lithuania, and in 2010 I travelled around in Europe for one month. I visited Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Poland and Germany. I really enjoyed that trip. I found every country interesting, but I especially liked Bratislava in Slovakia and Brasov in Romania. Bratislava is beautiful and there are a lot of sculptures in the streets.
I have also been to Estonia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, England, Scotland, Italy, France, Spain and the Netherlands. I have been to Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria and Switzerland, but I didn't get the chance to spend much time in those countries.
I really love travelling and I could talk about this topic forever
Which countries have you visited?

@Porcospino That's so fascinating. I truly envy those born in Europe, because they get to visit more countries on average than Americans do. Where are you from? What countries have you visited, and what did you take away from each of those countries? Any interesting stories or pieces of information about the country itself is always interesting to hear about!

I imagine that Alaska is a very unique place, and the wifelife must be amazing, but I would be worried about the climate. I don't like very cold weather.

@Porcospino Normally these tour conductors organise the tour during the time when weather is tolerable

I would go to Israel, the Holy Land. I'd love to finish exploring the United States (there are 12 states I haven't been to yet), and the Caribbean islands. I'd also like to visit Belize. There was a student from Belize in one of my classes in college and she did a tourist presentation as part of an assignment. The photos were gorgeous.

I have never there, but I think that Israel would be an interesting place to explore. Someone on myLot once mentioned a trip to Belize, it sounds like a beautiful and interesting place to visit. I would also like to visit some of the other countries in Central America for instance Costa Rica.

I know my wishes are almost insane, but I would love to visit every friend of mine here at MyLot. maybe for a few hours but that is how it is at least for me.
Come to think of it practically - I know, I will never be able to make it out of the country. I will never have the resources.

I don't think that it is insane. I would like to do the same thing. I have met a lot of nice people here and chatting to them in person would be amazing I know it is not realistic, but ít would be really nice.
