what is the difinition of a nerd?

what is the difinition of a nerd? my difinition would be someone who stays inthe computer rooms at lunch to play the computers.

Here's one definition of a nerd: He's a scrawny pipsqueak of a guy who prefers sticking his nose in a book or staying online over going out for a sports team. It's highly unlikely that he'll ever get to be prom king and it's likely that he might even get taunted. That same person is also that studmuffin who owns his own business who shows up at his 25th Class Reunion along with his beautiful wife.
