Empty Nesting Round 2

This past January we were empty-nesters for the first time. My older daughter had already graduated from college but decided to go to a different university for one semester to learn French. My younger daughter was starting her second semester of her first year of university. For four months my husband and I only had each other. It took three months for us to adjust. We had one month of bliss together... and then the girls came home. Next week my younger daughter goes back to university for her second year of a five year program. My older daughter finally got the call for the job she has been waiting for since April. In a couple of weeks she will start training at an airlines. What she just found out today is that she will be going to Calgary for part of her training. We don't have all the details yet but hubby and I will probably be empty-nesters again for a couple of weeks. That's all, just a couple of weeks. But it's long enough. We will have to start all over again and won't have three months to make "bliss". Hopefully it will go better the second time around. How many rounds of empty nesting will we have to go through?

With a five year university program, I don't expect my youngest to be out soon... unless she gets a job in the city she schools in and decides to stay there for the summer. She wants to play soccer here though during the summer. But I know there will come a day when they will both be gone for good.

@TiarasOceanView I cried in January when they both left, because I was at home. I would have cried when we sent my second daughter off to university for the first year but I was getting "Don't Mom" looks from my older daughter. LOL!

Bliss. It's such a happy word. My kids are still young and the thought of empty nesting hasn't reached us yet.
