Do you start your day with prayer, mediation, exercise, or some kind of ritual?
I always need to start with prayer. I sit for a while when everyone leaves home to do some scriptural meditation, then I potter around my garden. That is my kind of morning ritual..
Do you have any routine? Does it make you happy?

I have a routine! Sort of. It gets thrown off now and then on mornings like this morning when I slept an hour late. xD But I tend to try to get up at 4:30, exercise for 15 minutes right off the bat just to get things moving, have my coffee, do a little work, and then do some lengthier exercise, shower and dress, get my daughter ready, and rush off to my day. It's not a great routine, and sometimes things go awry (like this morning), but for the most part it works out nicely.

@sofssu 4:30 is extremely early. Too early! But hubby got a promotion that switched him to work 5:00 to 2:00 so now he's getting up at 4:00 AM. I wanted to support him with his new schedule, but it turns out that 4:00 is just too early for me. xD But I can usually manage to roll out of bed at 4:30 if the alarm goes off once at 4:00 and again at 4:30. ;)
Hey, a 45-minute walk is great!

@phyrre I would love to be one of those who exercise in the morning! I've tried to include it in my routine but my muscles didn't want to adapt.
It takes a long time for me to adjust to a new schedule if I have to change my waking hour. It took me around three months to adjust when I got a job and had to wake up at 7 am. How long did you need to get used to 4:30 am?

@phyrre 4.30 Oh wow.. that is pretty early. Good that you have exercises in your routine. A very healthy option.
I get up early too..I know the morning rush getting kids off to school. Sometimes its crazy but I enjoy the long quiet day later. I hardly exercise.. Just a 45 minute walk with hubby in the evenings.

I start my day with some prayers as soon as I get up, talk to momma a few minutes (who is in Heaven) and put on a pot of coffee and while that is brewing I hit the shower.

@howard96h Sounds like you have a neat ritual there .. I used to talk to my dad a long time ago.. I missed him terribly.. Now I just talk to God.

I have a morning routine but it's more like a sequence of things that I do. Unfortunately, I don't meditate or exercise. But I start my day by making coffee and enjoying it while reading my emails or the news headlines. I always want to relax in front of my computer for those 15 minutes before I start getting ready for work. Then, I drink orange juice and eat breakfast, I prepare my take-away lunch, and spend the rest of the time to get ready and leave!

I spend time in prayer in mid-morning. Especially during the school year, there is not enough quiet time earlier. I usually go directly to the kitchen to put on a pot of coffee, then turn on the computer. After I check some things and have some coffee, I can retreat to my bedroom for quiet time with God.

The moment i wake up , i drink more than two glasses of water . Then , i prop up my pillows with my husband sleeping beside me and pray . I talk with God through my mind . Then when i pray for my husband i hug him and pray over him . Then , it will be making breakfast and preparing myself to work on weekdays .

Personally, no. I don't have such rituals, no ritual actually.
