Reading Newspaper At Night.Why?? / myLot

It may sound strange,but I read my newspaper before going to bed at night,not in the morning.Let me share with you why I do so. Years ago I,like all others,used to read newspaper in the morning.A hawker would drop my newspaper at my doorstep and leave.A late sleeper for years I woke up at about 9 a.m.,but by then the newspaper had been taken away by a person who worked at a gas agency near my house.This fellow was addicted to reading newspapers,but would never buy one.Instead,he would 'steal' my newspaper and take it his home. When one day I came to know about it.I decided to collect my copy of the newspaper directly from the book seller.Later on I got employed.Now I don't have time in the morning.I read it at night. Some people never buy newspapers or books.They borrow these from others.Do you have such people around you?

Our newspaper is supposed to be left behind a locked gate, but sometimes the man who delivers it leaves it in the wrong space and then it often does get stolen. Fortunately most days he leaves it where nobody can reach it.

Unfortunately we don't have any such locked gate,@Gina.Anybody can come to our doorsteps and knock the doors.

@else34 Anyone can come to our doorstep too, but we've got a gated area where the car is kept and we've arranged for the newspaper to be thrown in there.

i read the newspapers at night in bed too, it helps me relax and fall asleep.

the one who delivers our bottled water asks for the crossword puzzle section of the newspaper so i give it to him.

Yes,I feel relax too,@hereandthere.For an hour my mind gets diverted from tensions.But I am alone among my family members and friends who reads newspaper at night.

I had a paper round many years ago, and sometimes my customers complained because they didn't receive their newspapers. At first I didn't understand what was going on because I knew that I delived their newspapers. After some time I discovered that the truth. Someone stole the newspapers from the mailboxes, and that was the reason why the customers believed that I didn't deliver the newspapers. Some people don't want to buy their own newspapers and they steal other people's newspapers instead

I can understand,@Porcospino.If the newspaper gets stolen,customers will suspect you.I appreciate your decision to leave the job.Most people are not into reading.They think it's a waste of money if they buy books or newspapers.Here there are many such people around.
