Last week our boss paused our contract in upwork so that we can’t continue opening the time tracker and our boss won’t be charged of the big amount of money even if we only have few jobs. I just realized that since we are just home based jobs then we are not supposed to use the tracker if there are lesser jobs. Unlike in office based it is still mandatory that the employee will be paid even there are times that there are few jobs or no jobs at all.
Now I learned my lesson that we are not really supposed to rely on just 1 company and since this is homebased job then it is more advantage for us to work on other companies or client by applying and applying until we succeed. So any how I still have source of income now I have my own family. Good thing our boss have not yet ended our contract that is why I am still hoping that we still have chance to work with him. He actually suspended the 3 of us in our team and all of us are just relying on that company and that is our only source of income. The good thing about my case is that the party of my daughter is gone before this happened while my other teammate is kind of problematic because as far as I know he is the breadwinner yet he asked his wife not to work first so that she can look after for the baby, then they are planning to have baptismal for their son on this coming October. I am also hoping that everything will went well.
Now while I am still applying for another job, I want to spend my time for the baby and guide her on her walking skills.

it reminds me of the setup at odesk. maybe he wants to pay only for actual hours worked.

Sorry you aren't able to work right now. It's definitely not easy to rely on one source of income, especially if it is online based. I hope you can find sustainable work soon.
