Hello everyone! Flowers are one of the best gifts of nature and they play an important part in our life. When we get up early in the morning the sight of bloomed flowers make us smile and it makes us feel de-stressed. Flowers appears so enticing that you feel like watching them again and again. Everyone has his/her favourite flower. Which one is your favourite? If you ask me, I would say in my view ‘Rose’ beats all the flowers, irrespective of the colour of the Rose. Rose has a distinct beauty and its fragrance is awesome. My question is - are you a flower lover? Do you grow flowers in your garden? Do you like to nurture them and feel delighted when flowers bloom? Is there any special flower found in your area, which you would like to share with us? Thanks everyone in advance for response. Have a nice day to all of you.

I love flowers. Pretty and smell so good. We have a rose garden in one of our parks here and love to visit it. Roses of every color. I also like to smell lilacs but they are only here in spring and don't seem to last very long.

Your response makes me feel strange that you have not grown with nature and you are not familiar with flowers. Are there no flowers around your home, local parks, gardens or your work place? I understand where you live many beautiful flowers grow and they would be treat to watch. It is good to hear that you have started loving gardening and you are planning to grow some flower bearing plants. You could get plants from local nurseries and could grow them in your home in pots. Thanks for sharing.

@dpk262006 Our parent's home is just small so we had no spot for plants. Of course there's trees around environment, but we have very hot weather almost everyday so we feel more dry than enjoying the nature itself. If I want to enjoy nature, I must go for another place, away from my environment. Flower is easy to find in some place but I said in my response 'I'm not familiar with flower as gift'. I only know few names of flower, and roses are one that is most popular around me. That time I didn't feel so close to them.

Wow, I am seeing so many lovely photos of flowers here - were these all taken by you? They are quite lovely! Nature is the best designer - flowers are so colorful and perfect! Because of the drought here, we have not even ventured into landscaping our yard (we moved here just 3 years ago) - however we have inherited some roses. We admittedly do not take care of them (we want to replace the thinned out bushes actually), but they will not go away - we get nice blooms no matter what!! If anything, I do like exotic looking ones - I don't know the names, but the ones that are different and not common.

@much2say - You see now a days due to Global warming and other issues, weather all over the world has become unpredictable. Here also, weather remains freak and sometimes changes all of a sudden. It is September and weather should cool down here, but it is still touching 37 degree C (like in summers) during day time. I understand that good amount of rain is required to end the spell of drought in your area, but it is not in your hands. You should show some mercy to roses bushes and should prune and cut them as and when possible. You should water the bushes also. Hope when you take due care of rose bushes, it will give more flowers. Yes, we will see long lasting roses by second half of October, 2015. This rose is from my Garden. (see the picture)

@dpk262006 Oh, I wish our drought would end soon, but it's been going on like this for a long time as it is. We are supposed to have a very wet winter, but even that may not get us out of this drought - we need consistent rain throughout the year. So we shall see what happens after winter out here! That's the thing - we have done nothing to take care of these roses - yes, they do not die easily - in fact they keep coming back no matter what we "don't" do! The blooms are rather nice and full - though they are undeserving of the frightful straggly bush that support them. I'll have to remember to take a photo of a full bloom when it comes out again. Ah, so you should be seeing nice roses pretty soon!

Hello Jlyn! Yes, I can understand that if you live in an apartment there would be lack of space to grow plants even in pots. Now a days when land is at premium, it is not easy to maintain one's own garden. Nice to know that you love purple cove flowers.

I simply love flowers..!!!! Their soothing beauty and mesmerizing fragrance can make anyone fall in love with them. Comparing flowers doesn't seem fair to me as each one has its own beauty but talking of one I really like Gulmohar flowers.. I don't know why but they have remained my favourite since my childhood.

Oh yes they have a positive impact. I am actually slightly upset because my wife's favorite flower, which is common in the Summer time in Romania, and while there for a visit to our parents I managed to get her some, is not available at all here in the UK where we live now, making it hard for me to deliver it to her. I have got her other types but it's not the same thing unfortunately.

I am sorry to hear that you are not able to find the particular flower, which you wanted to send your wife as a gift. However, you have not mentioned the name of the flower? I think even if you send any other nice flower to her, she will appreciate your gesture. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, I wish I did have a green thumb and could plant and grow flowers like the ones in the picture, but, I am not good at that. I think flowers add so much to the beauty around them. They do make one smile. Just looking at the beauty of them makes me want to sit and look at them for a very long time. I used to buy flowers on Fridays, but, stopped because they do not last a long time so I just put out my fake flowers which are beautiful too. I also like roses but not the thorns that go with them.

It is good to hear that you like flowers and you feel their importance around you. Does not matter if you do not have green thumb but whenever you get a chance you could go for some potted plants. It is true that flowers do not last long but the beauty of original flowers always draw your attention. Roses are no doubt beautiful but they come with thorns and give us a lesson of life that everything comes with a price.
