Religion is Such a Hot Topic

Blame it on the documentary I saw on YouTube. It's about how Muslims portray the life of Jesus and Mary. And whatever happened to Joseph? I haven't finished watching it but somehow it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Well I am a Catholic but I'm open to thinking differently.
There are a lot of information online and you need to know how to sift through them all. What I found out is the Bible came before the Qur'an and that the latter is said to be told to Muhammad but eventually the final book was written, edited or corrupted by man. Okay... Yeah of course the Bible is said to have been edited with lots of things removed too.
Now I don't know yet where the Book of Mormons figures in all this. (I've been interested in their story as well since as a kid they were all over our province, well I guess they still are). All I know is I know a Mormon when I see one (in uniform?).
Why don't we just all agree that the so-called gods are all aliens. But then that in itself is another hot topic.
What do you think?

The Book of Mormon is like the Quran, in that it's claimed to be a "newer testament" that was "revealed" to one person (in this case, Joseph Smith) because the Bible had been "corrupted." and they had to restore the "one real and true religion" to everyone.

Oh that's interesting. Sometimes it's hard to know what's true especially if it's been decades, centuries or millenniums old.

I like to leave people to their own beliefs and respect them. I believe spirituality is a personal relationship with God and that religion is something separate. We all grew up differently and it's different strokes for different folks. If people want to argue about it, fine, but I am going to stay the heck out of it until someone tries to infringe upon my freedom. So far that hasn't happened to me.

I love discussing religion. Some say to avoid talking about religion and politics. I'm usually board if I don't talk about them There's only so much you can say about the weather.
We Christians are supposed to share the Gospel.
Anyway, since you're checking about, I'd check more into Catholicism.
I don't have a denomination, I choose to only follow Christ.

I love to discuss religion too to enlighten people about the true essence of this. But I would like to discuss how the Bible explain about religion.

If everyone agreed on aliens there would be arguments about the pink skinned versus the pure blue aliens?
Not that sure myself if I am very interested in learning Muslim understandings. From what I do understand about the story of Jesus Christ and his family. If you go into the public squares and say, "do on to others as you do on to yourself" there is a strong possibility someone will want to kill you.

Hahaha, it would be easier to argue about aliens imho.
I read somewhere that the Muslim religion is actually anti-Christian. I dunno but that's how someone else interpreted it, claiming almost everything in their holy book is against Christianity or something.

@owstalaga It certainly is a topic these days. I've seen this dude on the television who has books and videos. He says one of the four horses (in the bible) depict Islam. And there is obviously a holy war coming out of Islam against everyone not Islam. Makes you wonder.

Religion is a hot topic for sure.
Religions have caused terrible killings of innocent people.
I do not know about other religions, I am Roman Catholic raised.

I think discussion on religions must be had in a closed room and now mad people are in many places who kill others for the slightest provocation. Here in my place is also there is less tolerence.

yeah maybe it should be held like a public or private debate if the people seriously want to talk about it.

The Koran is also based from the Bible because Mohammad who wrote the Koran was a believer of One God and he recognized Abraham as his father. He only made another religion and write his own interpretation and journey. They don;t believe to Jesus Christ because they have no promise. They came from the other son of Abraham. The promise or the seed came from isaac where Judaism, Christianity came from. As an Seventhday Adventist, we believe that we are the remnant of God. We based our teaching from the Bible.
