According to one of our local newspapers a new illness has been found. It is called RWDS and the full name of the illness is Real World Disappointment Syndrom. The patients have discovered that Facebook isn't the real world, and some of them are still in shock. They truly believed that the stories and the pictures they shared changed the world, and now they have discovered that the world didn't really care. They are also shocked to find out that the perfect Facebook world is different from the real world. Many of the patients cry all the time and they find it hard to go on. PS. You have probably guessed that this isn't a real news story. It was published in our local newspaper as a joke.

Hahaha, what a joke! There may be a different kind of illness based on social media as we all know how people can be sometimes. People can be sensitive to other people's likes and comments, and even private messages.

Some people take likes and comments very seriously, and there are people who spend so much time on Facebook that they neglect other things. It is a little hard for me to understand that sometimes. I am definately not addicted to Facebook

To me, Facebook in itself is a disappointment, even today - after having an account for so many years now.
I was on Facebook more just because of the fact that no one known was around here at Mylot. Now that most of them are back I barely log in to Facebook.
I will never be on that RWDS list not at least for Facebook. Facebook can be happy reading this sentence at least.

I have added some of my friends from myLot on Facebook as well, but I don't use Facebook very often. Some of my family members and offline friends spend hours on Facebook every day, but I have never done that. I don't visit Facebook every day or every week, and I miss most of the updates and pictures. I prefer to spend my online time on other sites.. like myLot

You know what they say, jokes are half-meant! I won't be surprised if such a condition exists! Far too many people live their lives on-line and forget their responsibilities and commitments int he real world hence the disappointment!

That is true. Some people spend a lot of time online and neglect their real lives. I don't think that is a problem to spend a lot of time online if you take care of your offline responsibilities as well, but some people almost forget that there is a life outside the internet.

even it is only just a joke, sometimes we express our feeling through media to lessen our frustrations, sadness or even share our happiness. Sometimes even there are posts that are funny to witness upon because it is not nice that the whole world would know of the things that you are into as of the moment. So let us be aware or we must be a responsible social site user

Yes, I think that a lot of people express their feelings on social sites. Some things should be kept private, and sometimes people regret the things that they have shared on social media.

I don't use Facebook much. I write to my friends sometimes, but I don't read most of the status updates and the other things.
