Structured or Spontaneous

What kind of person are you? Do you prefer being more structured and have a schedule or do you prefer being spontaneous and fly by the seat of your pants?
As for me, I have always preferred being on a schedule of some type. It always worked well when I was working and now that I no longer work, I am still on some kind of schedule at home.
I feel more comfortable and kind of in control when I know what I need to do and when I'm going to do it. Whenever something happens that is out of my control, it does cause a little anxiety for me. Even though I am not a control freak, I do like being in control. Kind of contradictory isn't it?
What about you?

@simone10 Well, living alone was not my idea, as my husband asked for a divorce. I was upset about it at first, but now that i have been alone for eight years, it isn't bad at all, except for when I need things fixed, then I wish I had someone here to fix them.

I am very much like you. I need structure. I need to make plans. Hubby is scattered. I get anxious.

A little bit of both, actually. I'm structured in some things, like when it comes to work, budget planning, or planning a trip somewhere. In other things I can be pretty spontaneous.

@simone10 Yep! Actually I'm a spontaneous person by nature but a structured/organized person by nurture.

I like structure to a certain point but then like yesterday I had nothing planned and was asked if I wanted to go to some large tent and yard sales in another State as they would be the last ones before winter sets in.
Since I had nothing planned and was up and dressed I was told to be ready in 10 minutes and I was and away we went.
I found 2 magazines that I paid a total of 50 cents for, a large stuffed animal for my dogs for 50 cents also and a dream catcher for my bedroom for $2.
Yeah I am the last of the big spenders....

Definitely structured.
There is another side of me however that is open for all, but that is usually just a dream world.
Reality is I like the same everyday.

I guess I would have to say I am a little of both. I like to know what I have to do by writing out a to-o list, yet at times I do things out of the blue, and put my to-do list aside.

I am half one half the other! I always have a list of things to do and I go to the movies EVERY Friday and I do my grocery shopping EVERY Thursday BUT then there is Saturday through Wednesday

@crazyhorseladycx Thank you! You are so sweet! I try and visit with people like I do in real life and it's so much easier to be myself online. I wonder why that is?

I think that I am a bit of both. Sometimes I schedule things and other times do it at the spur of the moment.
