I did Escape?

I remember those days when I was still in high school years,Whenever my group of friends agreed on something to do.We'll have to do it even if there is a class schedule. Yes,We did escaping from a class just to make ourselves a bond of time like having a movie marathon, going to the farm and eat some coconut meat or we cook something in the house then the rest is a videoke time,I did all those but not in college years. We did it because we know when weekend comes there's a lot of things to do and our parents wouldn't agree on hanging out somewhere. I think high school life is the most memorable one than in college. When I go to college,no escaping anymore, just a pure study. So,What are your most memorable memories during high school years that you cannot forget up to now?

For me it was the same as @SIMPLYD, I went to a Catholic school run by nuns, we were not allowed to pass the gate, the rules were very strict. I did not particularly like those years.

@SIMPLYD Yes, college was much better. I hated the atmosphere of the College, I did not feel free there.

There were so many, but one of the most memorable is the camping trip we went to during high school. It was my first camping trip ever and we had a blast.

A camping trip how exciting, I never went camping until I was an adult and I loved it. My first time camping was in a tent after that it was in a travel trailor then in an RV. I loved going and loved being near the lake.

@cgalavia I went with two of my lady friends and two children and it was so much fun. When it was time to go to bed I fell immediately asleep and slept like a log. We went and rented a paddle boat also and that was fun along with the swimming part. You should try it some time...

@cahaya1983 Camping is a great experience though I have never tried it.I love to be outdoors and get away from pressure in schools and of course experience the firsthand of nature...Those kind of memories will worth remembering.Good for you to have tried it out.

What I remember most about High School is my group of friends and the laughs we had. The days of going to the movies (walking there) stopping on the way to buy potato chips pieces and eating them on the way and having none left when we arrived at the movie house. Then sometimes going downtown to the movie house and watching the Tarazan movies which we all liked and admired Tarzan and Jane and dreamed of being there with them. Sometimes we would have sleep overs and be up most of the night on the weekend and sleep in half the day. It was so much fun. Then of course giggling over the boys we thought were so cute.

Those are worth remembering @Marcyaz The fun that you had with your friends is undeniable.I have also experience those and love the feeling of it.I wish we can come back those times.I already miss my friends now. We don't go in a movie theater,we stay in a friends house then there we watched our favorites movies while eating the food we cook. Giggling with the boys is also one of my unforgettable experience,I had my first crush,I always blush when I see him.

@Marcyaz oh men do cheat, good for you.As for me my crush courted me when I almost finish my college but I busted him.I no longer have any attraction of him,Now,every time he sees me,I can feel that he is shy.He can't look straight in my eyes.

In high school it's difficult to do that , because i went to a Catholic school run by nuns. You can't go out without asking for a gate pass that will be scrutinized by the guard .

@SIMPLYD That is the difference being a student in public and in catholic school. What I like most in catholic is helping us to grow our Faith which is not fully assisted in public though values education are taught.I can also understand it,I know how strict the nuns. I have tried escaping at least two times as far as I remember, not bad at all.

several years of being bullied but it eased off in later years and I did 2 great student exchanges to Germany with the school in my last years there

@cgalavia the exchanges were not connected to the bullying which had stopped by then. I mention them as being at a time when school actually started getting pleasant to go to for me. Student exchanges mean you stay with foreign students for a term period, living with their family in their country and then later they come your country to stay with your family and go to your school with you. They are great experiences.

@arthurchappell That's quite different? We don't have that in my country and like the idea because you may able to know the difference of each culture, their practices and become so close to them that almost like a family.I can see it as a cool experience.

@arthurchappell Being bullied can happen to anyone and can be awful. Those people who bullied are the one who is insecure, lack of parental love or attention and to bully is to feel them powerful.Sad to hear with that two students need to exchanges a school, trying to walk away is also a good way of avoiding those bully people, also ignoring them will do.

@TiarasOceanView Yes,I did it,am a truant student sometimes ,just to be with friends. Speaking of the dance,I will never forget our JS prom especially my partner at that time. He's cute. This time when we see each other we just simply smiled. High school life is an exploration and adventure time.I have never regrets I did those silly things because when I entered college, all I did was study here and there that makes it so boring sometimes.

@cgalavia You were a bad girl skipping school sometimes. lol Of course high school is an adventurous time and glad you had fun with your friends off of school time. College is definitely not for anyone who can't settle down and study.

In the US they call that skipping or ditching class. I did not ever do that, I just managed to get out of school a half a year early. I did not find high school to be memorable at all. I had more fun in college.

@GardenGerty Good for you not to ever do it,you're such a good girl.At least we are able to enjoy those stages of life while the others are not,so lucky us still. I have this thinking that I need to study hard in College for it's my ticket in having a very nice job but getting a nice one wasn't really easy, competition is everywhere.

I never skipped class. I just wasn't a rebel. I am only a rebel now because the world turned upside down and good is bad and bad is good and I find myself, as a straight-laced conservative type as being a rebel in a world gone mad.

@Rollo1 I won't consider myself too as a rebel, escaping class maybe a bad idea but not making you a rebel one. However,I agree on you how this world become a horrible one.We are being affected with the circumstances that happened in our life.

@lady1993 True,a memorable and unforgettable one. So,student is not the only one who cut class but the teacher as well hehe .Cut class of a teacher is understandable too.

@lady1993 That was a bad teacher, not a good model to his students, not a good example either.that maybe one of a reason why there are some students who used to skip because of the teacher who seem not interested in conducting a class.

I did not do cutting classes during high school, I am scared to make absences because competition among us was tight. I do not want to miss some activities that will make me behind. but in college, i'd rather wanted to enjoy moments with my friends rather than studying and solving/running our programs in computers :) but those were old days until I enrolled with my second course. all my life in it were just school, work, house and vice versa :)

@missjahn You were such a good girl in your high school years. So ,you mean you didn't enjoyed it at all? I may have also do that because I hate running programs in computer,It's a headache. Was your second course is a teaching profession? Mine is a reverse from your's because I have this thinking that my College degree is my key in having a good and stable job,a ticket for having a successful career that's why during those years I study hard a lot but when I almost finish it,I'm also working at night.

We would go to Study Hall and then some of us had been allowed to use an empty room to study poetry. But we would go there and play poker.

I guess it would have to be my best friend at the time. We were so close for the four years of high school and for a year after we graduated but she went off to college and we sort of lost touch. I tried to touch base with her a few years ago but it just wasn't the same as she seemed really distant.

@simone10 You know what I also wondered why people have to changed when you are very much close during high school years, some of my friends are also being distant when I contact them, even got no response to my messages,Is it understandable that they are all busy?but I'm busy too I just always find a way to be always in touch to them. As for me I will never change,I am still the same person that they used to know me before. I'm sorry if that happen to you,she maybe doesn't want to be connected to you again but that's okay,we can find friends as many as we can,of course, true friends who never leave and forget but cherish and treasure the friendship.
