Polls On Mylot Are Not Allowed?

Hey everyone,
I am one of the old users of Mylot that's why I am a lot familiar with Mylot rules and regulations but Mylot has changed many rules. One of the rule Mylot had was no polls and I am quite sure, we are not allowed to start any poll discussion such as "Do you like Mylot"?
Many users start short and useless discussions like this and it doesn't make sense when people just reply "Yes, I like Mylot".
I would like to know what new Mylotters think about this rule? Do you think its weird and why it should be allowed if you think it should be allowed.

Only 'mindless' poll questions are not allowed. For example you can't just ask: "What is your favorite Football team?" because that encourages members to be lazy. They don't have to put any thought into their answer. But if you asked "What is your favorite football team and why?" Then they'd to put down more than just "Falcons" or whatever. The point is to contribute quality content.

You are right, Shasta. I try to avoid commenting on these kinds of polls because I know these posts will be deleted soon and I will loose my hard earned money.

Poll type discussions are forbidden only when there is nothing to discuss : "What time is it for you ?", "How old are you ?", etc.
I give you a link to an old discussion where GAA gave some precisions.
Having made a promise to help the newbies and those who are still groping in the dark about guidelines violations I thought if we could all pool together topics...
