A Wall Could Be Built

One thing I really appreciate that Republican Candidate for President Donald Trump has said, is a wall needs to be built at America's Mexican Border to try to keep the illegals and terrorists out. I think it is a great idea and I just read where Netanyahu in Israel said that the reason they keep building walls/fences in the certain areas that they do, is to keep terrorists and illegals out. It is for their protection. Also, I started thinking, through out history, people have built walls. The Chinese built the Great Wall of China. The Communists built the Berlin Wall in Germany (that was different because they were trying to keep their people in). So, it can be done and it needs to be done right here in America at the Mexican border.

I do think we need a wall built. The amount of illegal aliens coming from mexico is astounding. Mexico loves it. As they send all the American money they made back to Mexico. I have no issues if they come here through the legal steps.

I do not think if their babies are born in the USA they should be citizens. They should not be. A wall needs to be built.

I hope you do remember that most of the USA is actually comprised of imigrants from other countries. Well apart from the Native Americans of course. By the same logic, you should not be USA citizens either, right ?

@elitess Do you know my nationality? Guess not. I have Native American in my blood. Like I said before. I have no issues with people coming here legally. Not illegal. There is a big difference. Illegals are not here to follow our laws, rules or customs. Legals try to conform to the English language and our way of doing things. Not change us.

There are already walls/fences and they aren't working. It takes money, a lot of money to stop them from entering.

What if we used money to help them stay in their country rather than trying to keep them out and force them into poverty ? Can you imagine managing to send the money spent on all these borders to help them plant crops instead, and lead decent lives where they can live in their own lands without the basic needs worries ? That would be something to behold.

I think it would mean a lot of jobs, first building the wall and then patrolling the wall. Not sure it would really be to our advantage.I am sure it could be done, though.

It takes a lot of money and time to build a wall. Then to patrol the wall cost money. And then there are ways over, through and under walls. They uncover secret tunnels between Mexico and Texas quite often.

Don't cry when taxes go up--Mexico is NOT paying for it plus most illegals now come from Latin America not Mexico. What about illegals from Asia? Build another wall? Why not just build a wall around the USA?

Yeah, that could help to keep the zombie apocalypse out (or in ) - joke. In fact, a wall around the entire America could help if it was done right, to protect against flooding - that's where I would use the money - at least on key areas, seing how some cities are bound to be hit hard by flooding in the next few decades due to the ice melting

Yes and like any other idea that was meant to be for the better of the people it could easily be used for the worse of the people. You may say that it is built to keep people out, but it could also be used to keep people in. If we took some time to stop and think and find and acknowledge the real problems with people wanting to move "these illegal imigrants" as some like to call them, we might solve many problems. There are a few select people out there who have millions and billions of dollars, and if they shared some of this with the poorer countries, people wouldn't want to leave them in the first place. There was a posting earlier where a newspaper was calling "an 13 year old illegal imigrant" news, and someone put them straight telling them to use the correct term - a child !

Honestly I think the wall is a waste of time. Look at Israel. They build walls and still fight their neighbors. I personally think Israel are the real trouble makers there. As for Trump, he is a moron. A big mouth and only going for shock value. He could care less about being president or the american people.

That is a great idea of the president. But in my country that situation is different because my country is an island so we have to develop our naval power to protect our people from many things.
