Ever got into a Dangerous Situation?

I commented on @topffer 's discussion about being a hero or a coward where I recalled a dangerous situation I was in back in college. It was a hold up on a highway in a rural area with no other people around, plus it was past midnight. There were 5 men I think. 1 had a gun and another had a knife to my friend, another one was at the end of the jeepney barring exit while another one was beside the driver. I think that guy had a gun to the driver's head to but I forget/didn't notice since I was focused on what was going on with us. We weren't all girls, there were guys too but they were afraid of the gun and knife. Only I had the guts to go do something about it otherwise they would have taken everything we had. That situation actually gave me a jeepney trauma for a day. How about you? Ever been in a dangerous situation? What did you do if you did or what would you do if you haven't experienced any yet?

Wow, very brave of you to do so! I can't recall being in any dangerous situation so can't really imagine what I would do. Maybe dial the emergency number if possible.

Thanks. It's good if you have a responsive emergency number and they can get to you in the middle of nowhere. That is if you can manage to make the call without them noticing you. The first thing they took from us were our mobile phones. Oh it's better to not be in a dangerous situation, if you unexpectedly experience it it's no fun at all.

@cahaya1983 Unless of course you're John McClane where trouble always finds him when he's on vacation.

I was picked up by a couple of guys who were trying to carry me, I guess to a car. I fought like a demon. I kicked the guy who had my feet really hard and he dropped them. As I kicked, I twisted to try and elbow the guy who had my shoulders. Because the other guy dropped me, I missed my mark, and got him in the thigh instead. Still, because the one dropped me, the other guy had to drop me as well. When I kicked the first guy, one of my shoes came off, I picked it up and started beating the guy who had my shoulders with it about the head and neck. I always figured that if I could control a 1000+ pound horse, I could handle a couple of jerk guys. Not as good as my roommate who put the guy in the hospital with her blind stick.

Wow that's awesome and dangerous at the same time! Wouldn't wish to be in that situation. If I did I don't know if I could wiggle and kick my way out of it too.

@owstalaga I've had a couple of accidents that could've killed me, the first was in 11th grade when I fell off a horse and landed on my head. The second was when I turned a car over on the freeway, that was the year after the guys grabbed me. I have never been overly fearful of physical hurt, I don't know why, I guess because I had been bullied so badly by people that I knew emotional hurts were worse than physical pain.

I just caused a ruckus so they would get annoyed and true enough they went away shortly after I made a ruckus of sorts.

Sounds scary, wouldn't wanna be in that situation The most dangerous situation I got to was while I was driving very early in the morning. I was in a hurry and it just ended raining...I thought ok, it doesn't rain anymore, I can drive faster now. I came to a curve slightly faster then I should have, and started to lose control of the car since it started slipping. the car went to the opposite lane for a bit, then came back to my own lane and almost smashed into the wall next to me...but the car electric anti - slide thing(no idea how its really called) Kicked in, managed to take over before It was too late. luckily it was so early no one was driving anywhere near me, but it was no more then dumb luck....don't underestimate a wet road, that was a pretty scary situaition

Wow that was pretty dangerous indeed. Good thing you didn't get hurt or anything. At least now you know about driving safely when the road is slippery.
