Drinking cold water with a little plain water mixing will be my choice to quench my thirst .
I have seen in outskirts there will be clay pot or terracotta pot water filled in that .
Beneath the beach sand spread .
In most of the houses and small shops they had the practise of drinking pot water .
Mylotters can come and share your experience here .

@SIMPLYD I think this is because the pot is made after heating in some temparature.
The pot have small holes that can be seen only through microscope .
The water inside seeps out and gets energy to become a gas .
Thus get evaporated causing coolness.
Moreover the Clay is a bad conductor of heat .

I try to drink some water off and on all day. Is the clay pot supposed to keep the water cooler? I can see that it might. I do not like sweet drinks and do not feel they quench my thirst.

@GardenGerty Exactly what you said is correct .
The Clay Pot keeps the water cool.
Water and only water can quench the thirst .
Rest is the next .

I drink water all day long. If I do not drink a certain amount I feel dehydrated.

@Shellyann36 It really happens to all I think ... Water is the only thing which quench one's thirst immediately , other aerated drinks comes next .

@kevin1877uk If it is from clay pot it is good , but not good if it is directly from fridge . Some normal water has to mixed in that will be good .

@kevin1877uk Yes not only water but all other food items should not be taken immediately nor kept in microvens . It has to be kept idle for sometimes and can be consumed .

Ages ago in Botswana people used to store water in clay containers called "gourds" quite similar to that picture. I don't see them anymore, maybe because of the running water from the taps and bottled water. Although, there's not much water here now LOL Maybe they still exist out in the sticks. I enjoy plain water at room temperature.

I keep a 0.5 ml bottle of water with me all the time, when it finishes in approx. 3 hrs, I refill it. I don't prefer ice cold water much, am prone to asthma. But yes, clay pots can keep the water really cool. That kind of cool water is good when the day is really hot and humid.

@ria1606roy I appreciate your practice of having a water bottle with you . Yes it is nice habit of home water intake regularly . From this you can avoid other place water which gives trouble .

@writerjo thanks. Yes I don't drink water from anywhere, because it's a season of diarrhea and stomach infections out here. Aquaguard purified water or packed bottle of mineral water is always the safest option.

I would prefer plain water. I don't like to take cold water as it does more harm than good. Our blood and body parts are hot inside, so cold water makes an adverse impact on our system. I do not prefer to take aerated drinks to quench my thirst.

@dpk262006 You are much aware in this matter .
Not only water , but direct from fridge any item should not be made for heat or eat or drink
Aerated drinks also not preferable as you said .
