How do you control your anger?

How do you control your anger? Is it by thinking 10 times, like you really do a countdown before reacting, or is it by focusing on the situation, by realization if you really needs to be angry or not? Or you blurt it all out on the person not minding what they will feel just to release your stress? I got angry this early afternoon. There is someone who we finds boastful was telling everyone that he knows everything. He was explaining to the trainee about a certain procedure and he said he knows everything from there to there. My eyes get bigger. He is one of the laziest person at work, he is always absent and if he will ask about how to use the "there and there" he will ask for my help, so it means I am the one who knows the "there and there" isn't it? Not to be rude, I interrupted them and asked him "oh yeah, do you know how to use this one" I was talking about the new fax machine. He answered "oh we are on the training and that is a new one of course I don't know how to use it", so he it means he doesn't know everything. So I point on the other different kind of printer, I invite him to discuss it with the trainee, and he refused because they are on the training. I hate him. Not to judge him, but in our team, he is the only one that is more of words and never in action. We are all turned off about his negative attitude. We even worked hard to get the project and we won it. He didn't even share any ideas because he is always absent, but when we get our rewards, he wants the 50%. Can I kill him? But then I controlled my anger. I just continue him to look stupid, but still he continue to give excuses.

Maybe because we are in our workplace, we should maintain to act professional, though I was not acting professional based on my story lol. He has all the time to irritate me and I will be preparing myself to act properly on that.

I hardly show my anger, but if I really get to that point, I'll just move away from that particular situation and find some private space. I find that washing my face helps to cool down my anger too.

Hahaha, I rarely get angry because my outburst can really be bad. So just thinking about the negative outcome of my anger keeps it in check. So I see you have a supposed a know-it-all in your office. Boastful guys are indeed annoying.
