Do you think we need home automation?

What is home automation? We can use our smartphone to control all the switches, CCTV, alarms and etc. I think the important thing is it can save energy. What do you think?

I guess it can but it is a very high price here to have the home automated so it is costing a lot of dollars which is not saving money possibly saving energy.
