Mine tells me I am a social person who appreciates the beauty of nature and the refinements of life.
I am told I am idealistic and romantic and I am very particular about little things.
Crudeness and vulgarity are very repulsive to me.
People may consider me haughty and aloof because of my sensitivity and reserved ways.
You have a very kind and gentle nature.
Your name creates an interest in the deeper aspects of life.
What about you have you ever considered what your name means or researched it.

Mine means light. As in, shining light, not the antonym of heavy.

My name means helper or helpful. Seems like everyone comes to me when they need something. Guess that is also another phrase," Mom, where is this or that at?"

@Marcyaz That is so true. They are always asking where something is at.

In English my first name means "Oath of God". The Danish translation is a little different, and they use the words "God has shown mercy". People with my name are described as quiet, introspective, thoughtful and understanding. It also says that people with my name are good at analyzing and good at learning new things.

@Marcyaz I wouldn't call myself quiet. People offline say that I talk too much but the other things are probably true and I love to learn new things...

Yes my name means I am named after my Mother and my Aunts on both sides.
My name does not define me. I do.

@Marcyaz In that case I say a name is just a name. It tells me nothing regarding my actions.

Yes, I have searched about my name. My name (Anna) means I am quick-minded and sensitive. I am sociable, I desire peace at any price. I am also creative with ability in art, music, singing, or fancywork and an appreciation for refined surroundings.

My name is the name of Lord Buddha when he was a child (or better before he became Lord Buddha). I definitely believe that the name I have has something to do with what I think and how I behave.
Off topic, but, I could not suggest you a discussion.

To be honest, I feel bad about it. I know my thoughts and actions are many a times flawed, corrupt and nowhere near to the Lord Buddha.
Personally, I do feel that names of Gods, Religious Identities should remain sacred and not be used for naming anyone else. We are too humane to be named after the Lords or Gods.

I don't want to be too specific. But--in general--your name is 'what people call you' That can either be 'the mark left behind by your actions' or 'the purpose people hope you rise to fulfill' (but most likely it's starts out as 'whatever your parents feel like calling you').
For instance: Jesus, the English version of Yeshua (said to mean "He Saves"), itself a shortening of Yehoshuah ("Jehovah is Salvation")---although maybe Jesus' FULL first name was the shortened version, like my FULL first-name above is "Harry" (NOT Harold or Harrison), like Homer Simpson's FULL middle-name is "Jay" (NOT Jason or Jack or James).
Either way, Mary & Joseph gave Him that name mostly because 'it's a truth, and He served as "proof" of that' (the way many Bible-figures were named ... Isaac, which draws it's meaning from "Sarah's laughter"; Moses, "river"; etc.)
