Would you think of yourself as a free spirit?

I do the things I want to. I enjoy what I am doing and keep away from things I don''t like. I make my own decisions and live life on my own terms.
I call myself a free spirit. I love my life and wouldn't mind going on for another hundred years health permitting.
Would you think of yourself as a free spirit.

I very much so consider myself to be a free spirit. I'm not one to be confined to certain things, I like to broaden my horizon sorta speak but on my own terms and in my own time.

@sofssu hmmm let me see.. Able to think for myself!! I never had to be part of the in crowd or had to fit in. I am perfectly content in doing things my way, or the things I want to do.

@TexanTornado I guess you are.. from what I have seen of you and heard from you. How would you define free spirit in your own words? if you get here sometime.

@sofssu I got it when I was nineteen. I'd wanted one for a while, but didn't really know what I wanted. Then, someone one day called me a free spirit, and said it in a negative manner. And I wanted to remind myself that no person has a hold on me. No matter what, no one is ever going to hold me down again. So, that settled it for me, and when I got one, that was what I chose.

I'd like to consider myself as one, within acceptable moral boundaries of course.

@cahaya1983 Haha.. I knew it was coming .. actually if I strayed off the acceptable moral boundaries or my spiritual belief I would feel tethered.. Guilt and shame would be my constant company. and that would not be freedom.. My spirit would constantly be tied to something.

@cahaya1983 I am glad you think so too.. I wonder how I missed this comment . Freedom always comes with responsibilities.. here it is responsibility to self.

@sofssu That's a very good point. Freedom can have different meanings for different people. I don't consider it freedom either if we're constantly filled with guilt and shame for doing things that other might associate with being "free".
