Would you think of yourself as a free spirit?

I do the things I want to. I enjoy what I am doing and keep away from things I don''t like. I make my own decisions and live life on my own terms. I call myself a free spirit. I love my life and wouldn't mind going on for another hundred years health permitting. Would you think of yourself as a free spirit.

I also do what I like, I eat what I like and I stay away from situations and people that can make me feel depressed. I do nothing only to please an audience. I believe I am a free spirit.

@LadyDuck sounds great to me. Pleasing people does make you feel tied down and caught in loops. I never feel tied down by stuff.

I very much so consider myself to be a free spirit. I'm not one to be confined to certain things, I like to broaden my horizon sorta speak but on my own terms and in my own time.

@sofssu hmmm let me see.. Able to think for myself!! I never had to be part of the in crowd or had to fit in. I am perfectly content in doing things my way, or the things I want to do.

@TexanTornado I guess you are.. from what I have seen of you and heard from you. How would you define free spirit in your own words? if you get here sometime.

So nice to see your here! I think it is safe to say I believe I'm a free spirit; I have free spirit tattooed on my right ankle.

@sofssu I got it when I was nineteen. I'd wanted one for a while, but didn't really know what I wanted. Then, someone one day called me a free spirit, and said it in a negative manner. And I wanted to remind myself that no person has a hold on me. No matter what, no one is ever going to hold me down again. So, that settled it for me, and when I got one, that was what I chose.

Good to see you too.. Been here for almost a month after I gave up on B. So you have a tattoo to prove it too eh? . Glad you consider yourself a free spirit.

I also feel the same way as you . I do what i like , and husband doesn't get in the way , as long as he knows what i am doing is still within the norm.

I'd like to consider myself as one, within acceptable moral boundaries of course.

@cahaya1983 Haha.. I knew it was coming .. actually if I strayed off the acceptable moral boundaries or my spiritual belief I would feel tethered.. Guilt and shame would be my constant company. and that would not be freedom.. My spirit would constantly be tied to something.

@cahaya1983 I am glad you think so too.. I wonder how I missed this comment . Freedom always comes with responsibilities.. here it is responsibility to self.

@sofssu That's a very good point. Freedom can have different meanings for different people. I don't consider it freedom either if we're constantly filled with guilt and shame for doing things that other might associate with being "free".

I'd like to consider myself as one free live, but within the limits accepted by society

@MARKOTOP Isn't it a wonderful way to live life? We just discussed what freedom is.. That is Chaya and I .. I guess you seem to conform to our way of thinking.

I think I'm somewhere in between. I still do some things because I think I should, but they are becoming fewer.

@valmnz I guess I do a few things I don't have to, purely out of love. I am comfortable with it . I am still free because of the comfort levels.
