The Princess has returned to her Kingdom

I took the "Mad Cat" to her vet appointment. We were about fifteen minutes early. Unfortunately the vet was running behind. Someone from a nearby animal rescue had dealings about a number of animals, and the phone kept ringing. There was another animal family ahead of us as well.
I do not use a carrier for her. She just sat in my lap. No trembling and only hissing when the office cat wanted to do kitty kisses. We waited a half hour.
The extra vocalizations are likely because we have disturbed her domain, first by moving my sister out and then by beginning to move stuff. Also is something that happens as the cat ages. Princess is eleven and a half years old. Except for having fleas she is in excellent shape. We got her rabies and feline distemper vaccinations.
We have treated the new property appropriately and she is good to go. The vet thinks that now that the extra treats have stopped Princess should have no ill effects like diabetes or digestive blockages from them. I just could not convince my sister to stop with the kitty junk food.
I took Princess to the truck while I paid the bill, and she escaped when I went back out. She just hid under the truck and after a while allowed me to catch her as she tried to figure out how to get back in to HER truck.

Aww poor baby and I am really surprised that you don't use a carrier for her. Every cat I see at the vet and even at my daughter's shop all come in carriers to protect them from other animals and other animals from the cat since they are usually stressed over the event.

We will get her a carrier for the move, to get her used to the new house. Generally she is very good about riding and I have never had any trouble. Yes, today she got out of the truck but she stayed with the truck because she knew it was hers.

@GardenGerty That's good, because she could easily have taken off and gotten lost

Princess always seems to know which vehicles belong to us. She has ridden out the driveway on top of one once. She believes she owns them.

When we get moved I will start making her home made cat food. It is much healthier for her.

Wow, that is so kool that you don't need a carrier for her. I'll bet you're relieved that she'll once again be in top shape now that those treats have stopped.
I avoid doctors, all of them, I always feel like all they want to do is make me think I or my pets need meds. Nope, not goin for that.

She would not run away because nothing except the truck and me were familiar to her. She tried to get back in the truck going up through the wheel well.

I am glad your cat is now back home. I hope she will never get sick again as going in and out in the vet is stressful to you and to her. I think she is scared when she try to escape the truck. I am glad she came back.

Cats they say are more attached to places than people. She will have to adjust somehow.

Now that your sister is no longer in the picture, Mad Cat might do just fine!
Cats are so precious, aren't they?
