cures for the common cold

what do you guys do to help curb an oncoming cold? i feel like im starting to come down with something, unfortunately, and obviously its very unwelcome! my typical routine is to take airborne. however, a few months ago my coworker told me that if you take a vitamin C pill once an hour right when you start feeling like you're getting sick, you can prevent it. so im doing that as well. any other suggestions/remedies? i want to hear them all!

yeah the vitamin C thing really works for me...I take Emergen C it is awesome!

i think i used to take emergen c too! if im not mistaken airborne and emergen c seem pretty interchangeable

I am not sure I have never taken Airborne before but I have heard it works well

I have done airborne too, I think I used it and zicam interchangeable, and added EmergenC with it. And yeah, totally do the EmergenC in juice, like something strong like cran, makes it easier to get down

Vitamin C can prevent cold if you take it BEFORE you get the cold. To relief a cold drink hot water with a tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of honey. Lemon juice is rich in vitamin C.

ive taken a lot of vitamin c pills ,1000 mg I think, but you have to take them early and drink juice but I read too much vitamin c is not good for you. I tried to get the vitamin c from natural sources and that worked , look up what food contains the most and eat it because the jury is still out on the efficiency of vitamin pills. drink plenty of water and rest

EmergenC in juice. Don't try to take it in water, and usually Ziacam. Does wonders for me

@sprinklesare4winners that stuff is super gross (I do the tablet, the nasal spray has had some complications from what I have read), but that and zicam and I have managed to avert a few colds over the years, IF you get it soon enough, like now, go scat, go get stuff and take it. lol. cause once you are sick I don't know if it will shorten how long or not.
