Never Happy

That's how I feel about the weather for approximately 6 months per year. In the Winter, I get tired of the cold and the snow and long for Spring. In the Summer, I get tired of the heat and humidity and long for Autumn.
It was in the 90s again today. That seemed bad enough, but the weather site just had to tell me that it felt like 103 degrees. "They're right!" I exclaimed. It DOES feel like 103!. That's the first time the pretend temperature ever made me feel good. It was nice just to know that someone recognized the hellish temperatures.
As I changed into my nightgown just now, I found myself looking longingly at things made of flannel and sweat pants. I found myself dreaming of weather cold enough to slip into something cozy and warm. I imagined the satisfaction that a sweater can bestow. I want that.
It will be in the 70s tomorrow That will be a heavenly relief. But, nothing says comfort like October. I can't wait to say goodbye to sticky, and hello to good hair days.
Are you as fickle as I am, always wishing the weather would change?

Yes, I am fickle, I hate the heat of summer, but I cannot stand the snow and the cold winter days. I like a little rain, but not many days of rain in a row. The heat has gone, the mornings are already in the 50s here and by noon we are around 68 F. I like this weather, September and October are good months.

I am anxious for the summer to be over, however, I am not looking forward to winter coming up in a few months. That is one season of the year, that I can do without. I don't have ac, so this summer has been hard on me. I have been using fans and they aren't much help when it is hot and sunny. It is hot outside, but cool in here, and that makes me feel good. I do love the change of the colors of the leaves, but I don't like raking them. ugh.

@Rollo1 Mine went out last year, and I don't have the money to fix it. I should have bought a protable one as it would have been better than nothing. I think I will get one next year though, so I don't have to deal with the fans in the living room at least. I will still have to use a fan in the kitchen and my bedroom, but that is okay, as I am only in those rooms for a short time anyway.

I used to be unhappy with the short days when I used to leave for work in the dark and come home in the dark. But now, I find them comforting. I feel much more isolated when there's piles of snow and hardly any hours of light. Being isolated makes me happy these days.

The animals might not be happy, either. But they aren't used to making everything change to suit them as man is. We make it warm when it's cold, make it cool when it's hot and make snow when we want to ski. Animals just have to take it as they find it.
